The sensual touch that means so much....
This sounds like a Baltic/Eastern European language, but I can’t identify it. Czech? Romanian has a Latin base, so that’s out.MALL
Ca pika shiu ranë mbi qelq.
Për ty unë befas ndjeva mall.
Jetojmë të dy në një qytet,
Dhe rrallë shihemi, sa rrallë.
Edhe m'u duk pak e çuditshme
Si erdh kjo vjeshtë, ky mëngjes.
Qiejt e ngrysur pa lejlekë
Dhe shirat pa ylberë në mes.
Dhe thënia e vjetër e Heraklitit
Seç m'u kujtua sot për dreq :
« Të zgjuarit janë bashkë në botë,
Kurse të fjeturit janë veç ».
Në ç'ëndërr kemi rënë kaq keq,
Që dot s'po zgjohemi ne vallë ?...
Ca pika shiu ranë mbi qelq
Dhe unë për ty seç ndjeva mall.

Albanian. It's a poetry by Ismail Kadare, which learned in HS and always loved. This sounds like a Baltic/Eastern European language, but I can’t identify it. Czech? Romanian has a Latin base, so that’s out.
I didn't know him. I love this:Gorgeous. His lines remind me of a modern American poet named Luis Omar Salinas.
Sometimes Mysteriously
Sometimes in the evening when love
tunes its harp and the crickets
celebrate life, I am like a troubadour
in search of friends, loved ones,
anyone who will share with me
a bit of conversation. My loneliness
arrives ghostlike and pretentious,
it seeks my soul, it is ravenous
and hurting. I admire my father
who always has advice in these matters,
but a game of chess won't do, or
the frivolity of religion.
I want to find a solution, so I
write letters, poems, and sometimes
I touch solitude on the shoulder
and surrender to a great tranquility.
I understand I need courage
and sometimes, mysteriously,
I feel whole.
Luis Omar Salinas (1997)
Who is this? You are there, while I
Am passing the falling leafs…
But yet we are here.
