The Idiot in Chief just slurred his way through a supposed response to the impending landfall of Milton. He (his handlers, he’s obviously checked out) turned it into a political hit piece on Pres Trump.

Not sure if it was Treasure Island or another area, but a weatherman was talking yesterday about the mounds of flood-damaged trash to be cleared and why it couldn't be in time:
it wasn't due to a lack of trucks waiting to take it away as there was a queue reaching back about 2 miles. The problem was the ONE not very big loader trying to clear the piles. ONE. desantis, this was a problem you could have gotten ahead on but failed.

Granted, forecasting future weather always comes with the caveat that things may change, but as of late these hurricanes seem to be adding little twists that defy what the models have been predicting. Making landfall earlier? Hitting now at a Cat 4? Sigh.

So far I'm fine but my little tree is getting a bit of a test. Thankfully it is a storm friendly native variety. But this will be a test for it. The other bigger one is getting a bit of a blowing but is stronger and has deeper roots.

How are you and the little tree holding up.
So far so good... knock wood. It's got a support stick so that's doing some work keeping it stabilized. Right now it's a bit of a lull but it'll pick up again soon I'm sure.
