RightGuide is MTG! 😱
Nah, MTG has ten fingers and six toes total.
Rightguide has twelve fingers and ten toes total.
(Rightguide was born with ten fingers but when he saw that AI artwork of Trump praying with six fingers on each hand, he had a cadaver finger grafted on to each hand.

Growing up near toxic waste dumps tends to have risks.

Adrina? please be safe.

Yeah picking crap up from outside. Have the generator. About three days worth of gas. It's set up and the cords are ran.

Probably have to board up the fucking windows. 😠 That's a pain in the ass. If so, likely not all of them so that's good. But still, the big ones.

It looks to be coming in, so far, about 40 to 50 miles south of my location.

Best case scenario, tropical storm winds.

Likely scenario, cat 1 winds.

Increasingly possible scenario, cat 2 winds.

Who's in the mood for a hurricane?

No need to tell you to watch it closely.

Hurricanes are fairly unpredictable these days.

Better safe-er than sorry-er.

👍

😢 Again, for the 2nd time within a month, I wish you, your family, and all the Florida community well through this storm. Godspeed.

Going right over me too. Be safe.

Seeing the traffic jams on highways out of Florida, I wonder if some Floridians are getting creative with their escape route?

How about hopping on a one-week cruise to eastern or southern Caribbean? Might be doable out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Sail away from your troubles …
I’m at Denver Airport on my way to So Cal and then Vegas. I work to avoid the hurricanes.

Tracking more southerly now. Further south - was Poincianna, now it's Frostproof.

I may not have to board up the windows. Knock wood.
Mazel tov! Still sucks for those who are caught in it, though.

Yes it does.

I wish this on no one.
Yeah, it sounds even rougher than what I dealt with during Beryl in July. At least I was further inland, so that probably helped. Still apparently close enough that we lost power for five days and my neighbor lost it for a week.

The further south the better in this instance.

Now some major weakening would be nice.

👍

We moved away from Tampa Bay about seven years ago, leaving the state for a drier climate. I was always afraid a monster like this would hit us dead on. I still have lots of friends and family there. Wishing everyone the best outcome.

Why should we keep paying for this? Fucking move out of areas that have hurricanes EVERY YEAR!

If I had a rattlesnake snake den by my garage and once or twice a year I stuck my hand in and slapped a few snakes around and got bit, then asked my neighbors to foot the 100k hospital bills, cover my lost wages and any rehab. Don’t you think they’d get bit tired of it? Pretty sure they’ll ask me to stop.

We’re not fixing climate change, hurricanes aren’t going to quit slamming into Florida. So let’s pay for them to move ONCE instead of rebuilding year after year.

I think that you are asking more for reform of the National Flood Insurance Program NFIP covered by John Oliver rather than the kind of insensitive way this post is hitting my ear.
