Bandit58 said:I went to the doctor and I'm on the pill for a while to see if that helps. He said I have to try and cut down the amount of stress in my life, not easy when I'm dealing with a stroppy ex husband, elderly parents not in the best of health, trying to find full time work, dealing with the breakup of a relationship, and trying to make a future for myself and start over. It may come down to having to move away from here to find work, which will mean leaving my teenage daughter here with her dad.
Any wonder my body's packing up![]()

disabled mother who I care for and a new teenage "step son" who is troubled and needs lots of care and attention.
I just found out that I have a soccer ball size uterus full of fibroid tumors. I know the reason for my pain and constant bleeding.. I just haven't taken the next step (hysterectomy). I will.. but I just can't do it right now.
I hope you get to feeling better soon. I hope things start to work in your favor. Keep your head up and just remember it can't get any worse.

If you are able to take Ibuprofen (haven't had allergic reactions to it before). Start taking 800 mgs every 8 hours a couple of days before your period starts. And continue until a few days into your period.
Cut down to taking 400 or 600 mg if you still can't handle the cramping after 2-3 days into your period.
Trust me.. I've been doing this now for 2 months. It helps a lot.

Bob_Bytchin said:Be careful about overdoing it with ibuprofen. Some new studies link extended use of ibuprofen with kidney failure.
freakygurl said:Well.. if you ever had bad cramps you'd know.. Kidney failure is well worth it if Ibuprofen can get rid of them.
Seriously.. Yes, I agree. It is known to cause problems. But so can Tylenol and aspirin. Take any pain relievers in moderation.
