The closest Harry has come, or will ever come, to leading a life as an equal in society was his second tour in Afghanistan. For that I give him the respect he's due.

Meghan is a whole different story. She is driven by her racial background and it seems she always has been even though she's been a child of privilege. If you look at her Wiki entry you hear her complaining about how breaking into show business was so hard for her. She was too 'white' for black roles and too 'black' for white roles. She seems to have extended this thought to society as a whole as opposed to seeing it for what it was, show business type casting. And there she is, back in the middle of the "type casters" lamenting her condition. Poor, poor Meghan.

She brings up the discussion re. the complexion of her child prior to the birth. Really? What the child may look like has been the topic of discussion among ALL families for the length and breadth of human history. Poor, poor, Meghan.

I can understand why conservatives are so put off by the entire drama.
The woke cancel culture taking over institutiins in the US + Meghan appears to be self-centered & fame hungry.

But putting aside Meghan's character, all the facts they complained about are REAL:

1. Daily Mail and the UKpress hounded and bullied Meghan.
We have a celebrity here -Charlotte Dawson- who actually committed suicide.
Now they trashed other royal family members too, but they were particularly vicious about Meghan.
And the Royal family did Nothing to refute Press's false claims - like when she was accused of making Catherine cry, whereas it was the other way around.

2. The accusations of racism come from HARRY, He was the one who had those conversations with his family.



In saying that, you guys are right in one sense:

I think that the obviously racist UK Press has a lot more to answer for than the Royal family.
You can accuse the latter of dysfunctionality, inaction or some racism, but that was 20 times smaller than what the Press did to Meghan.
Oprah should have highlighted THAT.

PS. As I have said before, but not in the post you quoted. The majority of illegal immigrants crossing the Channel are WHITE - but that fact doesn't support your accusation. You are seeing something that just IS NOT THERE.

I find it fascinating that most tabloids and massmedia are focusing on Meghan-The Royal family, and skimming through massmedia's bullying and falsehoods.

When the bullying by the press was the main thing that triggered these things, and it was 50 times more Vicious.


Also, it wasn't clear to me:

were Meghan and Harry pissed off about the Royals' inaction
(not refuting falsehoods, or their non-intervention when PARLIAMENT expressed concerns about the Press's racism)
or were they implying that They might have leaked info on Meghan?
 
The British Royal Family are always an easy target, because they "never explain and never complain".

This is something Meghan apparently (snigger) didn't know.

Shortly before the wedding, Harry is said to have been told off by the Queen for yelling at her royal dresser Angela Kelly following a run-in with Meghan.

She is said to have complained that a tiara she planned to wear could not be produced for an unscheduled hair appointment.

"He was furious and shouted: 'What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.' Suffice to say it didn't go down too well."

It was further claimed Meghan had been given first choice from the Crown Jewels - but that she had still been unhappy.

"She was constantly looking for reasons to say she had been deprived. Also, she wanted drama from the very beginning."

Good.
But it's not Just about their racism,
Tabloids have overstepped the mark too many times and harassed people.

In all honesty, I'm guilty too of perpetuating the click-bait, , I enjoy reading dirt about people.
But I also recall - when some celebrities's son died, the press leaked the information that it had been a drug overdose, and his house was found to be in squallor, and his corpse was 'dishevelled'. And nobody sued them for that breach in privacy, they got away with it because the family just wanted it to go away.


I'm not trying to advocate for the Royal family -- Harry isn't stupid, there must be more to the story.

But that's WITHIN the family, it hasn't influenced their policies.

And I think the main thing the press should be focusing on is the PRESS
but they're conveniently pursuing political agendas, while conveniently downplaying their own role in it.

Some of my extended family are flaming gingers. They experienced abuse when at school and university, so much so that one woman thought of changing her hair colour but it would have looked wrong with her face freckles.

One of my father's Australian friends had been ginger before he went grey. His nickname, apparently common in Australia for gingers, was 'Blue' or Bluey'. Why? I don't know but in his earlier years, it was used as an unfriendly term of abuse.
