Meghan Markle

So why even do the interview in the first place? They were out, not escaping. Revenge? Shining a light? Celebrity whining?

I heard Oprah got 7 million for the interview so I get her angles. And Oprah made it a point to clarify that Meghan didn’t get a dime for it. But did Harry? Archie? The baby bump?

Lots more to unpack here!

Brand marketing and positioning.

The Left is celebrating that the first Native American woman has been nominated
to be the Interior Secretary, but, they should also be hating her because father
is a white guy, and whites are the bad guys...

Funny how they pick and choose when it comes to their racialism.

I never know how people chose to identify themselves. As the world gets smaller, more and more people will have mixed heritage.

I'm half Scots-Irish and half Italian, so as a member of God's most cherished mixture, I maintain an air of superiority and let others define themselves as they wish.

The most vilified people, as witnessed in our culture and here on the board
are those who are half minority and refuse to accept the SJW's
edicts on how they are supposed to think, behave and vote.

Hell hath no fury as Cancel Culture's belief that you
are off the reservation, run away from the plantation,
and rejected them, their orthodoxy and their political directives.

Proof is in your posts Ogg. What you wrote was abhorrent. You may not understand...you are old and may not considered it racist. But it was. No one jokes about using one needle to give vaccinations to a certain population group. Well...no one but racists

NO. YOU read my posts and show where I am racist!

I said NOT ONE WORD about the colour or race of the illegal boat people.

The trade needs to be stopped before some of them drown in the Channel.

They pay large sums of money to callous criminals who send them to sea in the most trafficked sea lanes in the world in inadequate boats. My posts were a humourous suggestion to try to deter them from risking their lives, and their family's lives.

The people who try that crossing are NOT genuine refugees. If they were, they could easily be settled in France. They have lied repeatedly to the French authorities about who they are, destroyed their papers, and want to come to the UK because we do not have an identity system as exists in the rest of Europe. A few, by no means the majority, are known criminals who had been expelled from the UK in the past. Would you let anyone, who is a proven liar, into your country? I suspect not.

Megan is woke smart -- she knows that she needs to be a black woman
and that she can play the race card and she will garner more support
than she will jeers, hatred and real, not imagined, discrimination...

;) ;)

Tuesday already?! What's today's news then

Apparently, a couple gave an interview on TV and the biggest subject was the wife's skin being a little darker than the husband's.

For some strange reason, this caused the internet to melt.

First and last post on the subject.

The closest Harry has come, or will ever come, to leading a life as an equal in society was his second tour in Afghanistan. For that I give him the respect he's due.

Meghan is a whole different story. She is driven by her racial background and it seems she always has been even though she's been a child of privilege. If you look at her Wiki entry you hear her complaining about how breaking into show business was so hard for her. She was too 'white' for black roles and too 'black' for white roles. She seems to have extended this thought to society as a whole as opposed to seeing it for what it was, show business type casting. And there she is, back in the middle of the "type casters" lamenting her condition. Poor, poor Meghan.

She brings up the discussion re. the complexion of her child prior to the birth. Really? What the child may look like has been the topic of discussion among ALL families for the length and breadth of human history. Poor, poor, Meghan.

She's ghosted her family, her father in particular. Last time she talked to him he was in hospital. No visit.

I just see a selfish person with a victim complex she's trying to cash in on.

She'd dump Harry as soon as she feathers her celebrity nest.

There is a letter in today's Uk The Times. In it, a woman in a mixed marriage says that she was pleased that friends and relations wanted to know what colour the couple's baby would be.

Now, after that interview, she wonders if she should have thought the people, of various races, were ALL racist?

Honestly, bellisarius, I think it's a bit of both.

Meghan Does come across to me like you described,
- a social climber and entitled -
but I am now almost convinced that she WAS bullied by Charles-Catherine or the Royal handlers or whomever.

Anyone who's ever been bullied (I was once in the past, due to my immigrant status)
recognizes the signs of a toxic environment and the self-absorbtion&yearning for validation of the target.

And the GB still thinks I am racist with NO proof. If I am, that reflects on the racism of the accuser, not me.

And those eastern Europeans marauding around Kent, the feckless bastards should've stayed back in the east instead of littering our beaches with their corpses. KEEP BRITAIN TIDY means fuck all to them.

to help advance the idea that Racism is so pervasive that is has to be factored
into every breath we make, every step you take; they'll be watching you...

Another suburban family morning
Grandmother screaming at the wall
We have to shout above the din of our Rice Krispies
We can't hear anything at all
Mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration
But we know all her suicides are fake

far better lyrics from da Po Po

That is not the same. The racist shit is unforgivable but unfortunately, like trolls on Literotica, we can't stop assholes from being assholes.

She probably got less abuse than many premier league footballers and should have had staff to deflect or censor it before she saw it.

When she married, she had the support of the vast majority of UK people, and as I said above, we liked her mother. A minority might object but most saw Meghan as 'a good thing' - then. But since then? She doesn't want publicity but she appears on Oprah for two hours? Jeez!

So why even do the interview in the first place? They were out, not escaping. Revenge? Shining a light? Celebrity whining?

I really don't understand the narrow, baseless thinking some people have that people who want privacy aren't allowed to choose to be interviewed. There is no contradiction here. In fact, it makes sense. You can want to be able to live in peace. You can want to speak up to tell your side of the story after months of lies being spread about you. You can want to talk about mental health issues to make it easier for other people to talk about them and get help for them. And then you can want to go back to your mostly private life.

And if you are someone that the media wants to follow, making occasional appearances can satisfy their need and keep them from (for the most part) following you around. By choosing the occasional interview or public appearance, you get to choose when you're in the public eye, and you have a better chance of living a mostly private life the rest of the time.
But some people are going to ignore all that and continue bashing them for choosing to be interviewed.

That poor kid.

The Queen has spoken.

"The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

....as have others in support of my comments about Harry's socks:

Harry's socks dubbed 'sartorial outrage'

Of all the Harry and Meghan revelations, this is possibly the most important.

Viewers were apparently disturbed by the sight of the prince wearing dark socks with brown shoes and a light suit during the couple's Oprah interview.

"OMG. Prince Harry wears black socks with brown shoes. Fail!!!" wrote one Twitter user.

Others said they were "distracted" by navy socks and pale suit combination or even "hated" it, with another viewer complaining that the socks were "droopy".

We're not sure why stylish Meghan failed to prevent this "sartorial outrage". Perhaps she had more pressing matters on her mind.
