yeah, I will admit it, tonight Blu is a little blue. Maybe you guys can help me. Do you think that in the middle of a intense situation what people do or so is indicative of how they truly feel? Or do you think it is more a reaction to how they perceive most people?


I got into a bit of a spat with a friend today and in the middle of it I was really blasted because something I wrote was misinterpreted and ascribed a different meaning than what was intended. In truth a part of me can see where that interpretation came from but there is the other part of me that thinks 'what the hell? How can you even think I meant it that way?'

I gotta say, it stung. I have known this person for a really long time and there is the feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is what they think of me. I know this person doesn't really trust people and so there is the possibility that what was said was a involuntary, reactionary thing to a stressful situation but I can't help this small part of me that just wonders if I am giving too much latitude. If perhaps, at the very core, this is what they think of me.

So why don't you guys tell me? Have you ever been in stressful situation and said something you regret? Have you ever let your anger get the best of you and make you say something untrue and hurtful? And if so, what did you do afterwards?

Of course..everybody has done that. I try to apologize as soon as I can if I say something hurtful, but I have to admit that's almost as much for me as for them...I like my conscience clear.

I've gotten a lot better about keeping my mouth shut if i didn't have something good to say. My temper used to be much, much worse, but then I grew up. IMO, if you don't have some modicum of control over yourself, you're not trying very hard..and that's usually because you just don't fucking care who you hurt.

Hi Blu!!

I had a similar situation over the summer with a family member. She pushed and pushed and pushed and I finally exploded on her ass. I felt horrible and I did end up apologizing as it wasn't one of my proudest moments.

In reflection, I'm like you in wondering if the things this family member said are what she really thinks of me. We have always had a good relationship and then one night she started pushing my buttons and I snapped on her. The funny thing is that when I apologized for the things I had said, she accepted my apology but never offered one in return. Oh well....

I'll take a beverage as well...your choice....:D

Yes! Like a part of you can see someone saying something in the heat of the moment but then you have to wonder where that came from? Has it been lurking about in their thoughts and only when they are angry do they feel comfortable saying it?

But I think I found the perfect drink for you ;)~ Dirty Eden

1 oz Skyy® vodka
1 oz peach schnapps
1 oz dry vermouth
1 oz blackcurrant juice
1/2 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz lemonade

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice. Shake well, strain into a highball glass, and serve.

Whaddya think?

Now you should know, just like any regular bar, there is a cover charge here. It's really simple. All you have to do is answer a question and you get drinks for the rest of the night. Tonight's is perhaps a bit personal but trust me most days they are fun and silly.

So what do you think? Give it a go?

Man, Drinks are expensive here...but I suppose like any good bar it is about the quality of the pour...

I think like many, I get tired of those who bring less to the table being the only ones heard, I can remember walking away from situations feeling that sick sensation, either knowing, given the crowd I over stepped my bounds, or in certain situations exposing something that was too easy to point out. Ive always wanted to say "you are either too Stupid to figure it out, or you just don't care? Which is it? And of course those I regret, cause in know the answer, its not always their fault, either they have been given wrong info, or they were just not exposed/taught the situation. What is frustrating is that they carry on like they know...I do not believe I have ever said something untrue about someone to hurt them...it does get harder to avoid situations like this for me...Temper must be getting shorter or something..lol

I don't think I got away with much, I think I suffered the consequences and tried to do it with dignity...I hate all that swallowing pride bit...lol

Ok, now that I am standing here in just my socks, may I have a Scotch and soda... :)
