Ok.. I found it.. I bought it.. I tested it..

then I threw it away.

I'll stick to shaving.. That stuff burns.. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!

and I only had it on for 2 minutes.. I now have a small raw spot on my inner thigh.

Warning to everyone.. if you have sensitive skin.. avoid this stuff..

Did you try the regular or sensitive formula? I use the sensitive lotion, with no problems. Still smells wretched, but no irritation.

Oh..there is more than one kind?

The store I found it at only had one kind.. white tube with green lettering... I'd look to see which one it was.. but the garbage man has it now.. *L*

did you put it on the cat in your AV?

Phoenyx, it took me a second to see the picture in your av. At first I thought a guy was holding up a boneless chicken breast in front of the flag. Um, I'm tired.

Try the sensitive one, freaky. I haven't gotten up the nerve to try to full strength yet, and since the sensitive one works, I see no need. It's in a green tube with MILD written in yellow. I had to go to three stores to find it, so it's apparently not as widely distributed as the regular type.

I used some Epil Stop stuff that was supposed to remove hair, and did the same thing to my skin. I then checked the ingredients. They turned out to contain, among several other harsh chemicals, Lye. That bottle got drop kicked out the door.

At least you followed directions and did the patch test. Think of the agony you'd have been in if you didn't! Any user of the product here will remind you to do the test BEFORE you slather it all over yourself. At least one member here, *coughCymcough* skipped that step and ended up in quite a bit of pain.

Many of us use it with no problem at all. But always test, just to make sure it is okay for you.

I'm too scared to try this stuff. I tried using Nair a couple years ago. At first it worked great. The second time it left a horrible rash! I am afraid that this stuff is going to do about the same thing as the Nair.

I've been thinking about it.. and well anything that dissolves hair.. can't be good for ya..

I think I'm going to let all my damn hair grow.. legs included.. If hubby doesn't like it.. he can find himself someone with tougher skin.. (This is a joke.. he loves me no matter how long the hair on my legs are.. hell last summer we braided it ;) )

all this plucking.. shaving.. dissolving.. I'm tired of it..:(

this is worse than what Nair did to me.. Nair left on for the full time.. made me break out in a rash and it itched. Magic left on 2 minutes (they recommend 4-7 minutes) burned me so bad, I will probably have a scar.

I just wax. It's easy, fast, and you only do it once every couple of weeks. Yes, there is some pain, but I don't rip the hairs out individually, and I certainly don't get my skin burned off by chemicals. I don't like razors just because of the every day part.

Hi Cheyenne..

yes.. I did the patch test. I know how sensitive my skin is to most everything. After reading the ingrediants and smelling it, I knew more than likely it wasn't for me. But I tried it anyways. I put a tab.. about the size of a finger nail onto my inner thigh (figuring this was a good place to test). Left it on 2 minutes.. and had to immediatly take it off.

I'm glad others have been able to use this product. I just wish I could.

Oh and people.. I'm not putting this product down. If it works for you.. great.. I just wanted to warn people.. TEST FIRST.. SLATHER LATER :)

I dont believe it!! LOL

no, i am not laughing at you FG32...i was just thinking at work yesterday that no one has mentioned Magic Lotion in a while.
i was actually going to mention it on a thread and see if anyone bit.

great minds think alike.

Freaky,

I tried Magic cause every one raved about it. At first I was unsure because I did not think it would work .... etc...

But I finally went out and found it - not very common around my area. Anyways I got the blue & white can , its regular strength. I did a patch test & then later in the week I used it. It worked very well & did not burn or anything along those lines & I have sensitive skin.

But I have not tried it since... the smell was to yucky ...

I use the can to prop open my window when its a little to cold and I don't wanna have it all the way open... so the can came in handy for some thing else.

:p

Digging up an old thread....

to say,

I found it! (had to order on line)

I bought it!

I tried it!

I loved it!

I have the smoothest netherregion in three counties now!

:D

Thanks to Cheyenne et.al. for leading me in the right direction .

*giggling with glee*

*taking a bow* :)

You're welcome, of course.

NADS

Has anyone tried this? I've just bought it, haven't used it yet, supposed to work like wax, but with your own body heat. I'm trying to go for the Brazilian bikini wax without having someone else do it...any tips?

I've been wanting to try Magic shave but can't find it anywhere...
I have tried with a razor and I end up with blisters. Any suggestions?

Try doing it in a shower after the hairs are wet.

Or use scissors to cut them close then shave.

Final thing. Try using an electric razor.

It's in the far left corner of the Walgreen's down the street, under the sign that says, "Shaving Needs."

In Walmart it's in the "ethnic haircare" section. Target, Rite-Aid, and several other department and drugstore chains carry it.

It is marketed for black men, so it's most often found separate from other shaving creams and supplies.

I don't know where you live, but have you tried all the obvious places like Kmart, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.? It is in the mens shaving supply area, usually on a bottom shelf. It comes in cans, or tubes of lotion. If you can't find it anywhere locally, do a search online and you can order it on the internet. Try looking for Magic Cream.

*blushes* ok... I've tried most of those things. I may try some other stuff. :)

whoops.. I got a phone call while I was responding.... Got a few responses...

I tried Wal-Mart, Target and Osco. Walgreens wont open for a couple more weeks though.

I think you already know my answer Freaky, and Cheyenne. The only thing is, that NOW I have to keep up with it, as if I'm shaving every couple of days.

It worked for me, and yeah, I'm glad I tried a patch test first, but it's not going to work for everyone.

You know what pisses me off most though? That patch test area still isn't groing back yet, the pubes are. :(

Lo
