Time will heal all
Or so people say
Just give it time
And pain will go away
Know that they are right
Since time doesn't care
It won't turn back for anyone
Or leave us standing there
It carries on regardless
Firmly dragging us along
With each and every heartbeat
The endless turning of the days
The seasons and the years
Still it never stays
It's both friend and enemy
Marching at our side
It softens all our sorrow
Holds memories safe inside
It gives us joyous moments
To be treasured like a jewel
All this power time displays
Whilst dancing through our days

As I stared into the distance,
through the window of my mind,
it seemed the rain would fall forever,
and the sun would never shine.
The clouds above my soul,
would grow darker day by day,
and the ice within my heart,
just would not melt away.
Lost in my sea of feelings,
was the blueprint for true love,
but to search would have been suicide,
with those storms of emotion above.
I was climbing through confusion,
and fighting off the pain,
when I truly wondered if
I would see romance again.
But then something caught my eye,
a single ray of gold,
and as she struck my dark horizon,
she destroyed the wall so cold.
Her eyes were so hypnotic,
I know she saw my fears,
and with her lips so lush and red,
she kissed away my tears.
Her scent was that of a dream,
while running through summer’s fields,
and the softness in her touch,
forced my heart to yield.
Now her spell’s been cast,
my weakness has been found,
she has swept me high up off my feet,
and I haven’t hit the ground.

Spirit Friend

I am beside you, though you can't see me.
Your hair still is soft, and my eyes they still see.
My body isn't with you, but my Spirit it will call.
Know that though you miss me, I'm with you when you fall.

It was my time to leave, I wish I could have stalled.
I didn't want to go, I had no choice at all.
My Spirit walks beside you, and hears your gentle voice.
Wishing I could answer, but that is not my choice.

I know you think of me, and my heart reaches out to you.
Keep me safe inside you, but don't wallow when your blue.
You need to go on living, now that I'm not about.
Don't let that loving fire, inside of you go out.

If you see a flower, of colors that I like,
stop and take a moment, breath in their pretty sight.
It isn't bad to love again, now that I am gone.
I will forever be with you, a happy whispered song.

My love, you will not lose me, no matter where you are.
You are the air I needed, but now I am so far.
No longer here in body, but only a Spirit friend.
Waiting for the day, you let someone else come in.

When you do, don't worry, I'll be here if you call.
Our love it was transcending, and nothing would make it fall.
But take a hand when offered, don't try to live alone.
My Spirit will be with you, you'll never stray from home.

I think I spent them all on Met on the Net... I've concentrated on that for the last 2 weeks to reach 50,000... now I'm drained mentally.

*Lovers Sunset*

.

As we look to the western skies I witness the most beautiful sight,
A brilliant, radiant,sunset.
A patchwork of peach and orange, crimson, purple,
Mixing in pink with the turquoise sky,
A medley of colors without a hint of earthly tones.

.
As we sit there sipping coffee in the cool twilight,
Striding across the horizon in a cape of lustrous shades,
Violet becoming gold, amber into red incandescent,
The colors swelling like the panting breasts of maids,
And blending into blinding hues of elegant beauty.
.

As I wrap my arms around you holding you close,
As the heavens swell and shin brighter, the sunset exploded,
With the force of flame, as though behind stained glass,
The fires were burning, saturated
And shot across the river in a vibrant rippled coloring,
.

Wishing I could hold you for all eternity,
The sky blushing a crimson fiery red,
Shining with such brilliance,
While above the blue hugged it with a lover's desire,
A mixed rainbow more beautiful than any artist’s rendition,
.

In the time it took me to compose this poem,
The sun has sunken behind the mountain range,
And the fires have faded into cool night air;
They burn whether anyone cares;
They burn, at the end of one of the loveliest days.
They flames in my heart, call my mind into the fiery blaze.

Part of me

A part of me died last year
Oh I still talk and smile
But it’s a thin veneer
Deep inside is an empty space
Liberally salted with tears
I never knew ‘til you were lost
How big that special place
You occupied in my heart
Memories so bittersweet
Walk before my minds eye
Snapshots of a life together
Joy and sorrow hand in hand

Brush away the dust of discontent,

priceless in character and devoid of impurities.

Place her in a band of golden promise,
and she'll engage you with infinite sincerity,
caring, sharing, devotion.

A face filled with vivid expressions,
draws its contours solely from her literate voice,
her image defined by feelings and emotions.

For her physique is but a distant memory,
obscured in my mind by countless years,
