Lubricant Advise Requested

The wife is hitting menopause and I was thinking that things might be more enjoyable for her if we introduced some lubricant. Does anyone have any advise or recommendations? I am curious about KY (His & Hers). Has anyone tried that?? Are there better ones??

I have always used AstroGlide and my partners are always very happy with it. I admit I have not tried any of these newer ones with more to them than just lubrication. I can tell you that AstroGlide blows away regular KY.

My gf is in menopause. We recently shifted from KY type lube to a silicone lube called "Platinum", at the advice of her gynocologist. It stays slippery longer than the other type we had been using, which is good because we often want to delay orgasm as long as possible.

The weird thing about the silicone based lubes is they don't feel as "wet" when you apply them. I have to watch the liquid get poured into my hands to make sure I have enough, and then apply it to her and to me after we are done with oral foreplay.

My partner says it works very well for her, with no feeling of abrasion afterwards. We use soap and warm water to clean it off, but sometimes wait all night before doing that.

I dislike water-based lubricants like KY because they get sticky after being subjected to a little friction; on the other hand they have the easiest cleanup, some are safe to eat, and they are compatible with all condoms and toys.

Silicon lubes stay wet, but they are thin and can't be cleaned up easily with soap and water; they can also damage silicone toys and are not edible.

Oils are incompatible with condoms and other latex items, but are available in a variety of good scents, a variety from thin to thick as grease, and many are edible. Their difficulty of cleanup is in the middle of the other two; you need to use an oil-eating soap. Oils may cause acne on skin they are on for more than a few minutes.

Dont waste money on anything you can get at walmart for fucks sake. Go to an adult store and buy some real lube. There is no comparison

I use Uberlube. Love the stuff.

Pink water is my runner up.

KY is surgical jelly. It's awful lube.

My wife has had breast cancer and as a result of her treatment she was unable to self lubricate at all. We tried a number of solutions with limited success. Recently we found a lube in Europe called "Superglide"and for us it was the best and most natural. Although water based it does not become sticky at all.

In my opinion you definitely get what you pay for.

Coconut oil works well and it's all natural. Have used it for vaginal and anal play with great results. It also doesn't mess with any toys.

I also like coconut oil very much. It's solid under 24C (76F), but melts instantly on contact with a human. (This does make it slightly difficult to deal with in the depths of winter, we put ours on the hearth of the fire for ten minutes beforehand if we remember ) It's nice and slippery, smells good, it's edible and natural.

For myself, I much prefer a silicon lube for anal, though. I like 'Sliquid Silver'.
