Life was already hard, to some people it was impossible. Then again she never knew what was in store for her. She was fresh out of high school, and at times she remembers her parents death. The only people who lived was herself and the drunk that hit them. But she had one person she cared for, his name was Allen Banning. He is a sweet guy, she always felt a connection to him. But she never said anything. She was a part time student and was a secretary. Music was one talent she had. So going for a musical major was something she always, wanted to do with her life.

Ever since the death of her parents, she was living with him. Scarlet always loved there talks, she felt like she knew him all of her life. She had gotten out of work, and headed home. She opened the door and, knew Allen was home. She sighed a bit and went into her room for a moment. She left the bedroom and heard something. So she followed it, he was in the kitchen. A big smile was seen on Scarlet's face. She crossed her arms, leaning against the wall. Watching him.

"And what are we up to?" She chuckled.

"Oh about the same as yesterday . . . just another good day . . . and a smile on my favorite lady's face. How was work today . . . even more important, how was school today?"

Turning back to the oven and pulling out a fresh pan of brownies, "Figured you might need something to nibble on when you got home. How about you run change your clothes and we will run out for a pizza tonight?"

Watching Scarlett bounce down the hall toward her room . . . damn, it's hard to remember she is the daughter of my best friends . . . promised them years ago that I would take care of her if anything every happened to them. Sure didn't plan on that accident . . .. but I plan to keep my promise. Scarlett is like a daughter to me too . . . but she is really developing into a beautiful young lady!! And even at my age, I can help but get a "little" excited when she hurries from her bedroom to the bathroom in just her nightie when she thinks I'm not looking . . . omg, she is something else . . .

i look at him and smile happily at him, when he suggest pizza it was a cool idea. I changed into blue jeans and a blue t-shirt. Putting on my white and blue sneakers, I am a very simple person. When I was ready, I come back and thought for just a moment. "As for work and school, all is well. I have been writing out a song, today someone heard me play. Now they want me to perform. I will admit, the song ive been writing. It's a dedication, the dedication is for you Allen" As I told him the reason I wrote it. Which was some what hard to admit it. But I stopped worrying about things. I did feel something for you, I wrote the song to show my love really. Something that is very hard for me to do, but ever since the death of my family. I feel more happy, like I could take over the world.

Surprised at your comment about dedicating a song to me. I'm sure the look on my face was like, "Why me?" Walking to you and wrapping my arms around you and hugging you close, "That's really special, Scarlett . . . I can't wait to hear it." Realizing that I have really held you for more than a few seconds and closer than I ever have before, I step back and smile a bit sheepishly . . . "Hey, we better get going if we are going to get that pizza."

I smiled at you, you were really special. My feelings for you were growing, to her he was special. I nod when you were ready to go, things were going smooth for both of us. The hug however, I would never forget it. I wanted to stay in the moment, but my stomach was growling. I laugh lightly.

Hearing that little stomach growl came at just the right moment . . . broke some of the tension I was feeling between us as the hug lasted longer and longer. I absolutely cannot be having some of these feelings that are starting to build up in me. She is the daughter of my best friends . . . young enough to be my daughter . . . but, god, she felt so good against me.

Driving toward the pizza place, it's all I can do to keep from reaching over and taking your hand in mine. Once we get there, we are seated quickly . . . get our order in . . . then fall into our usual easy talk . . .

I felt perfect, everything was going good with us. Looking into his eyes, something in them was kind of sad. I always wondered why he never got married, he was such a wonderful man. Taking a bite out of her slice, I sighed. A smile on my face, he always could make me laugh. "You know, for a while now ive been trying to figure out why your not married. Your sweet, I would marry you in a heart beat." I admitted that may make him nervous, but it didn't matter now. "I have always liked older men. I have yet to find a guy my age that is mature, so I gave up looking long ago" I giggle silently to myself.

"Guess I never found the perfect lady . . . your Dad got the only one I know. And, sweetie, I know it's still tough to talk about them, but I know they would be damn proud of you for what you are making out of your life." Both of us silent for a few minutes as me work on our pizza; I always save one slice tho - love cold piza for breakfast the next morning.

Paying the check and heading out to the car, "How about we take a drive up by the lake tonight? Just kick back and relax for a few minutes; I know you've probably got some studying to do, but I think we could both use a little time away from the house."

I was enjoying myself, and smiled about the answer. But when you brought up my parents, it went silent for a moment. But I smiled at you, when you suggested the lake sounded like fun. So hopping into your car and on the way up there. I didn't know what to say or do, but when they were up at the lake. Getting out of the car and I stretched, I was very relaxed. "I don't have any homework, not today at least." I said to you with soft look. I turned around to the back of the car's seat and grabbed my case. Taking out my violin and held it in my hand. I had been working on this song for so long.

"Allen, we have been always very close. You have done so much for me, you are the only family I have. I need to express myself to you, since I am not so great with explaining things." I looked down some, I could feel myself blushing. Looking up at the sky, I close my eyes to relax myself. Putting the violin under my chin, and I looked back at you a smile on my face, and spoke to him softly.

"Destiny I'll find you in my dreams.." And I began to play, expressing myself in the only way I knew. I was reaching out to you, she was always able to explain herself with her music.

The Song

Leaning back against the car as you pull our your violin . . . I knew you were talented, but am really blown away by the song tonight . . . and just not sure how much to read into it. As you finish and put your violin back in its case, you look at me in a way that says more than anything we have ever said to each other . . . or maybe even thought before this evening.

Not really thinking about it, but just acting on my feelings, I take you by the hand, "Let's take a walk down by the lake . . ."

Watching you watch me it made me feel special, I had no one. Well I take that back, my parents helped me so much. And Allen was the one who had her heart, I had loved you for many years. But of course was to young to say anything. But when you took my hand, I felt something that I have never had before. We walked together, I looked back up. I smiled at you, my heart racing.

I can feel the tension in your hand as we walk . . . without saying a word, I can also sense that there are some feelings bouncing around inside you that you are not sure what to do with. The smile on your face is more than just the smile you have for a close friend . . . and definitely more than I have seen on your face before. I'm almost afraid to take another step. Maybe I should just take us back to the car and drive us home . . . but,

I can't stop myself . . . turning you toward me, still holding your hand, my other hand goes to your chin and tilts your face up toward mine and I lean over to kiss you on the lips . . . afraid that you will find my actions offensive and will run away . . .

Looking down for a moment, I didn't know what to say or do. Things went chaotic in my mind, I didn't want to go back. But we both stopped moving, I didn't have the chance to say anything. Your lips on mine, but that kiss was all I needed. I wrap my arms around you, I return the kiss. All the love I had came from my lips. Things were looking great, I was so happy he took the chance. When we parted to catch our breaths, I look up into your eyes. "I love you" I said.

"Scarlett, sweetie, what are you saying? I have loved you for many years, but because of my feelings for your parents, I always did everything to keep my feelings hidden, always thinking you would find someone to love you and make you happy." Finding any more words difficult, I pull you close to me again . . . kissing you with more passion . . . feeling your young soft body tight against me as your passion intensifies also.

I was happy I could get the courage out to tell you. Before she could respond, I watched as you kissed me again. Feeling much more passion, I had no reason to hide any more. I was free to be open with you, and that was something I wouldn't have to hide. All my love poured out of my lips, I enjoyed the closeness.

Finally breaking the kiss, "Scarlett, honey . . . I think we need to head back to the car and then home. This all came out so suddenly . . . by both of us. Maybe a glass of wine when we get home will help us slow down a bit." I feel like I am heading much too fast into an area that I should not be going . . . but I have absolutely no desire to stop.

Wrapping my arm around your shoulders as we walk back to the car . . . feeling you lean in against me . . . the scent of a beautiful young lady . . . damn, where are we headed?

I nodded, things were going at a face rate. Once we got home, she went to her room. Sitting on my bed, looking at my night stand. Before me was a picture of her parents, Allen and herself. I missed that day, it gave me wonderful memories. I decided to get changed, wearing shorts that was blue and a T-Shirt that was black. finally once relaxed, I headed to the living room. I sat down on the couch and looked outside the window. Lost in My memories, closing my eyes. Sometimes I can hear my mother scream. But now everything was perfect, I had someone that loves me.

Hearing you walk into the living room and sit on the couch. I take my time in the kitchen, taking one deep breath after another. Finally pouring a couple of glasses of white wine, I walk into the living room . . . put the glasses on the coffee table . . . and sit down beside you.

Not wanting to interrupt your thoughts . . . so I sit back and sip my wine until you turn toward me.

I heard you coming into the room, I collected my thoughts and looked back at you. Looking at the glass, I take the glass and sip at the wine. I was rather relaxed now, I was rather happy. My first kiss was very special to me, I didn't know any younger guys that I had a connection with. I had always known what I wanted, but now was the time to be truthful with emotions. Since I would never lie to him. Or anyone else for that matter.

As you pick up the glass, it seems that you have something on your mind . . . something that needs to be said. Not wanting to rush you, I lean over and kiss you softly on the forehead . . . "Take you time, sweetie . . . I know there is something that you are wanting to say . . . but I don't want to push you . . ."

I had no idea what to say, looking down in my wine glass. But I had to tell you, it wasn't fair to keep you in the dark. At least when it is emotional, biting my lip a little big. "Well...I have had feelings for you two years ago. You have always been in my life, I am in love with you. Your the only good part of my life. " I said it finally.

"Scarlett . . . I don't know what to say . . . except that I love you, too. But, sweetie, you need to be really sure about this. I think we both need to try to get a good night's sleep. After all we both have a job to do tomorrow and you have classes too . . . "

Every part of me wants to bring you to my room . . . feel you snuggled up next to me . . . but, definitely know better than to move that fast this soon . . . I need to give Scarlett time to make sure her feelings are as strong as she thinks they are right now.

listing to what you were saying, I knew we were going to fast. She didn't want to get fast, so you would have the chance to think. Finishing my wine, looking back up at you and nodded some. But I would do what you wanted. "Alright, what ever you think is best" I said to you. A softness in my eyes. "I don't think my views will change, so don't be surprised" I said teasing him, you was my soul mate.

"I agree . . . mine are not going to change either . . ." Pulling you to your feet; wrapping my arms around you one more time and kissing you goodnight. Your soft body molds itself easily to mine and feels so good . . . I can feel my body responding to your kiss and touch. I just hope that my "growing" reaction is not too obvious to you . . . I'm the one trying to slow things down and here I go getting physically excited at your closeness . . .

I giggled at your comment, I enjoyed your touch so much. Looking into your eyes, I had a feeling that something was up. I could feel you but didn't tell you, the kiss goodnight was full of our passion. I headed to my room, a lot has happened to us today. But I have no regrets, I was happy and something told me. You were just as happy.
