Lost Island (IC)

Sierra Hughes

I breathed heavily as I looked up at Andy. His weight had knocked the wind out of me. But even in that somewhat compromising position we were in, I found myself looking into his eyes. He was quite a handsome man to be honest. Maybe...just maybe.

He apologised profusely, and started to get up. But for some reason, I wasn't going to let him. I put a hand on his shoulder, and asked him, "are we cool? Is there something you want to tell me?" I gave him my most pleading eyes possible, as he gazed into me.

"Something I want to tell you?" he asked a bit stupidly, "Like what?" He blushed, "I, um, am sorry, and maybe, nice er... view?" he said with a shy laugh. Unsure what she wanted him to say.

Sierra Hughes

A man of few words when the crunch came, it seemed. I moved my body towards him, and planted a wet kiss on his lips.

A few moments later, I squirmed under his body, and got back on my feet.

"Let's be on our way back, shall we?" I asked. I didn't really care what he made of it, but for some reason I wanted to kiss him. I did, and I hoped it would break the growing tension between us.

The kiss was nice, she obviously knew what she was doing and he felt himself getting hard, which pressed against her leg. After a few moments, she squirmed out from under him and stood like nothing had happened. "Uh, what was that for?" he asked quietly also standing, "I mean, I enjoyed it, but what made you do that?" he inquired as he made sure she was steady on her feet and brushed sand off her back letting his hand linger there for a second.

I stopped, feeling his large palm rested on the small of my back. It was always reassuring, and I always found that particular spot on my body much more errogenous than the usual breast-nipple-pussy routine.

"Two reasons actually. The first being that you've been acting different ever since you found out about what I do for a living. And the second," I turn, slow enough to ensure that his palm follows my body.

Now I was standing, facing him directly, with his arm wrapped halfway across me. "the second reason is because I'm used to letting my body do the talking." I look up into his eyes.

On the beach.

John had wondered away form the rest of the shipwrecked survivers and stood on the beach while skimming the horizon for any boats or helicopters that may have already been heading their way. Of course there was none but it was still pretty early for a rescue and John wasn't worried.

Something else was bothering him though, as he looked to the spot were the ship had sunk. Again the events that had happened seemed almost too set up and spiked Johns curiosity as to what really happened.
The string of bad luck just seemed too much of a coincidence what with the radio being damaged beyond use the experienced captain running the ship into the jagged rocks of the reef.

John then realized something, out of all the survivors he hadn't seen the old and talkative captain. Hopefully he had survived the shipwreck and was amongst one of the surviving groups that had gone out to scout for water or the other group that left to learn the size of the actual island.

If anyone could answer his question to what happened the captain surely would be able to shed some light on things...
That was until John caught the familiar sight of the captains cloths and body being carried onto the land by a man and women.
Sighing John made his way over to the two and prayed that he was mistaken.

"Hey! you two!" John called out looking to both James and Trish with a serious look on his face that made him appear pissed even though he wasn't.
As he made his way over in their direction he saw the two stop and look in his direction just as they were about to lay the body down with the rest of the bodies for later burial.

Evangeline didn't follow the group, instead she went off on her own into the forest for a walk. She needed to get the situation digested so she could cope with being there. She hated being alone in all of this and just prayed she'd see her father. She walked deep into the forest and eventually was halted when she saw a very large boar staring right at her. She looked at it frightened and it seemed to feed off of her fear and charged.

She screamed and climbed up a tree, the boar rammed it's head into the tree but soon lost interest and walked away. Vange remained in the tree for some time, thankfully it was a coconut tree. She began pulling coconuts off and dropping them to the ground. At least there'd be food. She took off her top, leaving only a sports bra covering her upper body and used her shirt to carry the coconuts back to camp.

"Anyone hungry?" She asked, setting them on the ground and taking her shirt back, slipped it on. It clung tightly to her body. Her naval just barely peeping out of the space between her tight white shorts and tee shirt.

Lani had decided to not follow the group into the forest, leaving it to be only Andy and Sierra who went in search of water and food. She slumped down onto the sand slipping her shoes off her feet, the feeling of the warm sand between her made her smile slightly. If you forgot about the carnage around them it was actualy a realy nice rexaling day on this island. The sun over head, baking all below it, the cool sea breeze ... It wasn't all as bad as Lani had first thought.

Despite Andy insistance on the fact that no body was coming for them, Lani was sure they would be rescued come nightfall. As expensive Luxury Liner did not go missing from radar and not be sent for after a few hours. As such Lani figured they might as well enjoy the weather while they could rather than running around exhausting themselves with the trival persuits of food and water.

Never the less, Lani was the first to jump up when Evangeline called out. Apparently the woman had found herself a couple of coconuts. Lani walked over, "Could you spare one of them for me, love?" She asked, blatently looking the woman over as she put on her t-shirt once more.

"Sure can. Here." She said as she handed Lani a coconut.

"There's a whole bunch in the forest. Should be enough to last forever. Hopefully we're gone by then. I'm sorry. What's your name again? I'm Vangy."

Lani clutched the coconut, knocking a deicate fist against the coconuts tough exterior. She looked about trying to figure out a way she could get this thing open.

"Oh right, it's Lani ... Lani Williams" She knelt down coconut in hand and bashed it against a rock, spliting it open with almost no trouble, "There" she chuckled happily, the weather had calmed her down, and the fact that everyone else was starting to calm too helped, "I have no doubt we'l be out of here soon. Daddy will be getting worried that I haven't called him yet. He'll call the coast guard or something... you just watch."

He blushed, "I didn't mean to act different, I guess maybe I was simply nervous," he said shrugging slightly his arm was stil around her, and he took a deep breath and let himself go, pulling her in close and this time he initiated the kiss. "Its not a bad idea." he wispered, "Letting the body act that is."

"Mmmmmm..." I moaned softly as we finally broke out kiss. Only this time, it was much longer, and our lips parted momentarily, and our tongues made their brief introductions. I was sure there will be more to come.

"See that wasn't so hard, was it?" I smiled, one of my palms resting on his broad shoulder. "What were you nervous about anyway? Something to hide?" I teased, a gleam in my eyes.

James Smith

Tris felt her skin warm as she blushed, catching the full double meaning- intentional or not, of Jame's words. However she laughed good naturedly about it;
"Yeah, we really should find out if anything is being done about shelter and fires and such- can get cold and almostly likely creapy out here at night."

James took the weight of the body off of Tris for the final few feet and set the body down with about 10 others. What shelter could they make with this little amount of time left in the day? James thought back to when he camped as a kid, usually they had a tent, but now what?

"Hey! you two!"John called out looking to both James and Trish with a serious look on his face that made him appear pissed even though he wasn't.

James looked up seeing the distress on John’s face. “It’s the Captain.” Pausing because it was obvious the man knew who it was he added, “But I haven’t seen any officers yet, they might still be someone alive.”

James doubted what he just said but they would have seen an officer if they got to shore. Turning to Tris, “I know a place with a great air mattress if that sounds like a good place to sleep.” James said thinking of where he saw one of the inflatable rafts.

he shrugged again, and his voice was still low when he spoke, "I guess it was simply nerves. I mean, you're the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and I was extremely attracted to you, and I guess I was afraid you would not share the interest. Afterall I'm younger than you, and like I said, no lady's ever taken a second glance at me." he said in answer to her question.

“It’s the Captain.”

John heard the man say which caused him to frown but otherwize keep his usal calm and cold looking expression.

“But I haven’t seen any officers yet, they might still be someone alive.”

John frowned at that, he didn't care about the other officers. After the display on the ship John doubted any of them would have a clue to what was going on if any of them even survived, which in his recent count of the surviors there had been none.
The other man then simply turned looking away from John as something else was obviously on his mind.

“I know a place with a great air mattress if that sounds like a good place to sleep.”

John rolled his eyes at that and pushed past the two, even in a situation like this people seemed to only think about getting laid or hooked up with someone of the opposite sex.
John couldn't help but to wonder how many of these females survivors would wind up pregnant before the day was done and then later be abandoned by the male surviors they had only just met today.
Knowing his luck they would also end up in his hospital were he'd have to deal with the constant whineing and bitching about their stressful lives which always gave him a headache.

Ignoreing the two John kneeled down infront of the captins corpse and looked him over and instantly John noticed something odd.
The other bodies were blue in color having been drowned by the sinking boat, however the captin, other then being soaked had a normal look to him.
Turning the captin over onto his stomach John then noticed a tear in the mans shirt along with a large wet splotch of of blood..

The captin didn't drown...

he was murdered..

Tris stopped as a guy yelled to get their attention, he was looking mostly at the very dead captain- James did the talking though, he just seemed to know what had to be said.

Tris gave him a cheerful smile in return,saying in a playful tone;
"Well aren't you just the coolest person to be hanging out on a tropical island with, the one with the contacts no doubt....don't supose you can russel up some breakfast to go with that bed."

She watched the other guy push past them, a shade abruptly she thought- after alll, wasn't exactly as if they were that busy, were going anywhere soon it seemed.

"Murder.."

John said inwardly to himself as he quietly stood up and brougth a hand to his chin in deep thought.
Judging from the wound the captin had been stabed by a sharp object. Most likely a knife of some sort with a semi wide blade that had been stabbed into his spine and severed.
"The captin was mostly likely dead before he even hit the water."
John thought as he turned to look back towards the other surviors.
Did that mean the killer was still here? and among them?
Johns eyes wondered over each person suspisously, there were alot of young men that could of done it and possibliy even a women, or the killer could of simply drowned when the ship sunk. Whatever the case John knew it be best to keep his eyes open an be wary of everyone here. Bending back down to flip the captin over to his back John decided it be best not to let everyone know about this. It would cause too much worry and fear among the surviors and people may start throwing false accusations at each other. Not to mention the killer would know that the passengers were on to him and may strike again to keep people from talking.

It be best to simply wait for the rescue team and let them know of what happened, from their the police could handle it and possibly capture the culprit.

John sighed as he started making his way back to the others, his hand running through his black hair. Never in a million years did John ever think he would become stranded on an island with a homicide case on his hands.

"Some vacation this turned out to be."
John said under his breath.

James blushed as Tris was obviously flirting back. The red headed beauty never looked sexier. Her green eyes and soft lips…. James tried unsuccessfully to shake the thoughts out of his head as his second brain began to think the same.

“I am more worried about the night getting a little to chilly.” James saw Evangeline as he continued, “and it doesn’t look like breakfast will be a problem.” He motioned his head towards the pile of coconuts. “I don’t suppose you could help, um…, help me get a roof set up for the mattress?”

James couldn’t believe he was propositioning Tris so soon. Well he had noticed her on the cruise before but figured he didn’t have a shot since she was working and he would be gone after the cruise. But she was flirting back, so he figured he might as well make his move.

"Well, I'm sure you're right. And if not your daddy, then mine was on the ship. He'll have us rescued for sure." She replied with a smile cracking a coconut and nearly gagging at the taste.

"Oh god. That's horrible! The sooner we're off this patch of sand the better." She really wasn't looking forward to sleeping on the ground. She had to find someone who'd found maybe a blanket or something at least. Of course if they were going to be stranded she'd be a good choice for any long travels she was in peak shape so at least she had that going for her here.

Lani grinned slightly at the girls gagging "Okay so they aren't perfect" She said, wrinkling her nose as the taste of the coconut, "But I can get used to the healthiness of them"

She looked about for a second, then up at the sky, then back to her new ... friend, it seemed she would have to call her.

"D'ya think we should build ourselves some shelter for the coconuts? ... oh and us ... of course" She said stressing the last couple of words making herself seem the all important factor on this 'patch of sand'. Wel ... she was rich (or at least her family was) and used to get her way.

"Looks like we might need to. I don't know much about building shelters, but we're both young and beautiful women. We could easily find a man to help us build one. What do you say?" Vange asked as she scouted for cute guys to court into making them shelter.

(OOC goin off for a few might be on before work if i dont oversleep.)

Lani grinned mischieviously, "I find myself liking you and your ideas more and more Vange" she said as she too looked around the beach for a good looking, yet strong and resourceful guy they could seduce. She was more used to guys throwing themselves at her, but to be fair people in clubs where pretty drunk. This was altogether a different experience for our pretty little rich girl.

She pointed in a random direction towards a guy hauling stuff around, "Look there's a good one"

(( any body wanna be the target? :p ))

Npc

Jole Hockins

Jole Was one of the ships crew. He had been one of the sailors in charge of going up into the rigging and adjusting sails and such. Afterall this was an expensive cruise ship, and though it had engines, it also had sails, to give the crew the full experience.
His skin was tanned a dark tone from his long hours in the sun. He was hansom, but not dropdead gorgeous by anymeans. He currently was gathering long branches, and palm fronds and other materials.

ooc: I'm game as the target with this little NPC I invented)

Putting aside the thoughts of the murder John decided to focus himself on being rescued. Moving back to the group he ordered a few of the able survivors to give him a hand in collecting any long peices of wood or stone.

"Put that right over there...no more to your left."

John yelled as he and a few others started to place the wood and stone in a pattern. There was much athority in his voice and whenever someone questioned him to the reason behind his intentions, John was more then willing to explain his plans and goals as clearly as possible so everyone could understand him.

Many of the others still considered him to be bossy and cold hearted from his tone of voice but even then John was reinforcing his trust amongst them slowly with his common sense and intelligent thinking.

Despite his looks John was a people's person, he had to be since it went along with the job and even though everyone may have come from different backgrounds and had a different history John knew everyone would have to work together to improve their chances of being rescued sooner.

With the help of a few of the survivors they had managed to build a giant SOS image on the ground that could easily be spotted by helicopters or planes if they flew lover. John had also taken into account the high and low tides and had the sign built further up on the beach so it wouldn't be washed away.

"Well done everyone." John said while pushing the rim of his glasses further up on the bridge of his nose.

"Shouldn't be too hard for us to be spotted now when rescue comes. Then we can all get off this rock and back to our real lives." It was a small achievement but the survivors looked hopeful and more enthusiastic about being rescued sooner, which was exactly what John wanted to see.

Sighing John turned and started making his way over to where two young females were standing (Vangy & Lani) near a bunch of gathered coconuts.

John was about to past them when he realized he had grown thirsty in his time working on the sos sign and seeing as the water team haddn't returned yet he may as well try one of the coconuts.

"..mind if I take one for myself?"
He asked lightly his tone of voice deep and monotone as it always seemed to be. His cold blue eyes looked from Vangy first then to Lani as he waited to hear the approval from either of the two.

James Smith

James had already spotted one of the tarps used to cover the deck furniture to use as a simple roof, now just to find some branches of a good length and he could have a primitive tent. Making a permanent shelter would be more difficult unless he could find some form of metal that could be used to cut trees. “Nothing that could do that would have washed ashore even in this surf,” James thought to himself looking at the powerful waves of the changing tide.

The waves of high tide were just coming in, and James thought he could see part of the cruise ship start to emerge from the water. While it appeared to be only the top of the mast, it left some hope that maybe more of the ship would surface at the lowest part of the tide. He thought that maybe the waves could have rolled the ship to a different angle and it might stay that way if it settled further.

James didn’t have to wait to see that part as suddenly an explosion off shore where the ship was sent parts flying up out of the water.

“Did the boilers explode?” James thought aloud. Then to himself, ‘Did these ships even have boilers anymore? Probably not, they were probably diesel engines and diesel fumes don’t explode like gas, I think.’ He thought back to all the episodes of History channel and Discovery channel he had watched. ‘What a fucking dork I am’ he thought next. The good news was more parts of the ship were now broken up and looked to be coming ashore.

James mind left thoughts of why the explosion occurred “Tris we should try and get more of these things ashore before dark, I’ve got an idea about shelter and laying claim to as much as we can would help”

(Ooc. I figured an explosion of the ship would help add to the mystery of the killer and explain getting more things ashore that we all could use)
