Lost Island (IC)

I laughed. And it was a genuine one, which took me aback for a moment. This was a regular bloke, but a honest one too.

"I like your honesty Andy, and for what it's worth, I think you're looking pretty good for a white trash hillbilly," I offered. I found myself lapsing out of my usual optmistic, to the extent of bimbotic, exterior that I usually put forth. There was something disarming about this man. I was wary, yet comfortable at the same time.

We walked on a bit more, and I was glad that the sun was kept out by the top of the trees.

"And for your honesty, I shall let on a bit more about myself. But only if you can guess what else I do for a living."

"You're too high class to be a hooker, maybe you do high class escort service, but that I wouldn't be possative on." he shrugged, "I really couldn't tell ya ma'am." he said. He walked, scanning for water, he saw none yet, as he continued walking in step with Sierra. "Why don't you just tell me, I'll not laugh." he said.

Sierra Hughes

"High class escort! Hmmm." I grinned. He was close, but not quite. Our initial casual conversation was taking a turn rather quickly. If he had guessed something that did not suggest any sex invovled, I could have easily told him. Now I wasn't so sure.

"But you didn't guess correctly, Andy. How about this, tell me what made you think that I might be an escort. It's only fair to the lady, isn't it?"

he blushed, "I guess that came out wrong. I mean, I never meant to suggest you looked like a." he took a deep breath, "Let me explain."
He glanced at her, "First, you are beautiful." he began ticking points off on his fingers. "Second, you weren't part of the crew, so could afford to take this voyage. Third, you said you were a waitress, which is often a cover for less reputable professions. Fourth waitresses do not make enough to travel on this ship. Meaning you had to have another profession. Fifth, your noble baring, and self confidence are not those of a streetwalker, or even a stripper. That in my mind only left high class escort. Perhaps along with one of the men on this cruise. I never meant to say you were though, I was just thinking aloud." he was blushing a deep red now, ashamed of what he had called her when she wasn't.

Sierra Hughes

I laughed again. Andy was turning out to be quite an interesting man.

"Well I guess I should thank you for the compliment. That was the gist of it, wasn't it?" I turned, smiling at him again as we walked side by side. For a moment, it almost felt as if we were walking along a streetway, on our way after a lunch date.

But he was acutely aware of things around him, even if he didn't always come up with the correct analysis. It seemed, though, that it was my waitress facade that gave me away. Perhaps I should just quit that job altogether.

"Well you are half right. I'm a porn actress." I said nonchalantly, but well aware how these things always have a certain effect on people I meet. Especially the male half of the population.

Andrew Walker

Andy actually stopped dead in his tracks when she spoke. "Say what?" he asked, his jaw dropping. Making a quick recovery, he smiled. "You are sure built for it, if I may be so bold." he said finding himself blushing again. "So with you, its you can look but can't touch?" he said teasing a little, as he tried to assimilate what she had told him.

Sierra Hughes

"So with you, its you can look but can't touch?"

"Well, that really depends on who you are." I smiled back. Andy had quite a way with these things. I was happy with what I was doing for a living, even if I didn't exactly come clean with Marcus. But some guys I met just made me feel uncomfortable about being in the porn industry. At least Andy wasn't one of them, which was good. I might be stuck on this island for some time.

Now it was my turn to think aloud for a little.

"Anyway, I'm surprised you didn't find me familiar somewhat. Don't take this the wrong way, but I thought you might one of those porn movie buffs. I'm cool with it though - after all, guys like you pay me for what I do. They tell me I'm pretty hot stuff, and especially on the net. Not that I've checked it out for myself." For some reason, I wanted to see what he had to say in reply.

he looked at her, and deadpanned, "But the parts of you I can see now, aren't anything I would look at, were I a porn buff. Show me more, and I might recognise you." he held his serious expression for a few heartbeats and then cracked up laughing. "As a matter of fact I do watch porn, but I was always a doer not a dreamer. If I want something I usually try to find some way to get it. Usually anyway. I never was really big on fantasizing about sex, when one could just go out and have it, which is much more enjoyable. Not like I've been that successful in that aspect. But I've gotten lucky, had me a couple of southern bells, although most were just red necked girls like me. Tough as nails, you know out in a pasture somewhere." he shrugged, "Basically I'm saying I've never been with a real lady. You know, the kind that wears dresses, skirts and heals." he laughed, "Not like it makes a difference to me who I lay with. I just don't watch porn too often, because they reprisent things I can't have. If I can't have it, and I know there is no way to get it, I tend to just ignore it, pretend it doesn't exist." he shrugged again, "Am I making any sense at all?" he questioned her with a laugh.
"Besides, you said you're a porn actress?" he said stressing the word actress, "Most of that stuff is faked, isn't it? I mean just look at the noises those women make in those films, the only way I or any man I know could make a woman scream like that would be with 15 feet of barbed wire, and a cattle prod." he said.

Sierra Hughes

"Well some like them loud, and some like them dirty. It's a service industry, we do what we can to please, not to be pleased." Then I chuckled. "Well once in a while you do get a few gems, but it's rare. It's an industry where it's really all about the ladies, don't you think?"

We walked on for a bit more. It was feeling more like a leisure stroll, and I wonder if gathering water was still on our minds.

"Well you did mention that the stuff you see in porn represents things you can't have? How do you know, if you haven't tried?"

he shrugged, "Because I have tried." he said, "No lady will look twice at me, and that's just how it is. And the women I've found just don't suck cock, plain as that. So yeah, there it is." he said walking along the beach, "I'm not sure if that's water ahead." he commented as they continued to walk.

Sierra Hughes

"It is rather unfortunate isn't it. We're living in a world that seldom looks past appearances...I'm sorry I brought it up." We continued walking, this time an awkwardness creeping up between us.

I looked up as he pointed out to me where the sound of running water was coming from. "I think that might be it...!!!"

I stepped onto a slippery surface and lost my footing...

Silence had insued, he had shrugged off her appology

They approached water, and suddenly she slipped in a patch of wet sand, Andy caught her with an arm around her slender waist, Pulling her against him to steady her, "Careful Ma'am." he cautioned as he slowly released her.

Tris

((OOC: damn, I dont log on for a day and suddenly theres a whole extra page:p lol, you go guys))

“What the hell James,” He thought to himself because he couldn’t believe he was nonchalantly carrying a dead body out of the ocean. “Help? She wanted to help?” James figured they were both in shock and it would dawn on them later the true significance of what was happening.

AS soon as the words were out of her mouth, Tris cringed in embarrassment- what was she saying? This was just to weird for her head. She wadded in alittle and helped James by taking soe of the weight of the....load.

“We don’t have to be in too much of a hurry, I saw some other people gathering bodies over there.” James said motioning with his head while struggling with the heavy body. “Lets just get him over there for now, we should try and get some shelter together before it gets too late in the afternoon.”

Tris felt her skin warm as she blushed, catching the full double meaning- intentional or not, of Jame's words. However she laughed good naturedly about it;
"Yeah, we really should find out if anything is being done about shelter and fires and such- can get cold and almostly likely creapy out here at night."

Sierra Hughes

"Sierra, call me Sierra. And thank you, Andy." I gathered to my feet once more. I peered down my long legs, eying my boots for some time.

"Looks like these boots were more for show than anything. I should have know better than to wear a film prop for actual trekking."

By then, we had reached the source of the water. A waterfall that was almost a 100 feet tall. I was beginning to wonder how on earth we could have not spotted this much earlier.

"The rock outcropping hides the waterfall." he explained as if reading her mind.
"We'll probably have to test the pool to see if its fresh water, but I assume it is."
He moved forward and bent scooping some of the water into a bottle, and taking a sip. "Seems fresh to me, "Here taste it." he said lifting the bottle to her lips, taking her hand and guiding it to the bottle to control his poring so he didn't drouwn her when he fed her the drink. Her hand was soft under his calloused one as he reluctantly withdrew his hand, and suddenly there seemed to be more tension in the air than before.

Sierra Hughes

"Mmmm, you're right." I smacked my lips after having a taste. It was fresh indeed, and it tasted just like spring water. I tried to disregard the tension between us, but it was building slowly.

"Is there something on your mind Andy? You don't seem like the type who would hold it in. I'm cool." I asked casually, while we were filling up more bottles by the side of the stream.

he laughed, "No no, nothing on my mind." Andy said, except I want to fuck you, he thought, but he didn't say that. "I guess I am just a bit distracted." he shrugged, trying to disregard his feelings and the subject. "I wonder if we'll be rescued soon." he said trying to lamely change the subject.

"Twenty two..." John counted as he came to the last person he could see, who he haddn't already counted or was dead for that matter.
While he had been counting he also had managed to organize most of the folks, bringing nearily everyone togeather onto the beach ((save for the other writers here who can or dosn't have to be in the group.))

The group John had before him was the most saddist ragtaged group of people he had ever seen.
Ranging from a few small children to a few old folkes who looked ready to kick the bucket. Emotions were also verying between people and while the small kids remained quiet due to their parents, their eyes wondered about in curiosity as if this was some type of new game the grownups were playing, others were mourning, (especially one women who was hesterical and wailing like a banshee) with a few trying to cheer them, and others simply remained silent, keeping to themselfs with a worried look over their face. A few of the younger teenagers looked about curiously at the girls of the group seeing as most of them were wearing light clothing and after having being drenched from ocean water some of their clothing had become see through.

While John was sure they would be rescued in a matter of time, he couldn't help but to feel slightly uneasy at the sitation that was at hand.
The desaster seemed to have happend to fast and too easily.
The man Andy, had said he saw the communications were destroyed...what kind of cruse liner would leave port with a destroyed communications system...surely the crew of the ship wasn't that stupid.
And on top of that..eariler before the events had happend John had the opertunity to talk with the captain of the ship who wouldn't shut up about his years of expereince at sea. Why would a captin who was so familer with the sea crash the boat into a reef? Things just didn't add up in John's mind and then suddenly he realized something.

Was it possible that someone sabatoshed the communications system? and then ran the boat into the reef on purpose? Such a thing was unlikely but definitly not impossible.

"MY HUSBAND...MY POOR POOR HUSBAND! EHHH!"

The wailing women was still crying dispite some of the others attempts to calm her down and the loud annoying sound of her crying was giving John a headache to the point he couldn't think. Turning he then made his way over to the crying lady.

"BE SILENT!" Johns said in a loud, cold, harsh tone of voice that caused everyone to quiet instantly (save for a few sniffles here and there) and look his way. Even the older women who was crying stopped and almost looked up fearful of John who was towering over her.

"Your crying is driveing all of us crazy. Your husband is dead, get over it! People die everyday and your not the only one who's lost some loved ones in this accident."

As a doctor John was never known for his compassion for the lost of loved ones in families. Death happend, it was apart of life that no one could control. The only thing one could do for moments like this was to take the blow in the stomach, recover from the lost, and continue moving foward in life.

After a moment of silence and stareing hard into the tearful womens eyes John turned then and made his way towards the beach, ignoreing the glares, frowns and whispers of the survivers behind him. If he was to be known as the cold hearted bastered on the cruise, so be it. John didn't care, they would be rescued soon enouph and his job in careing for these people would be over and he would go back to work to deal with this sort of thing all over again. Such was the life of a doctor.

At least the women had stoped crying.

"No no, nothing on my mind."

I raised my eyebrow, clearly aware that it was far from the truth. But I decided not to pursue the matter. After all, I'm sure he was trying to come to terms with all these as much as I was. Ship-wrecked, stranded on an island, trekking through an unknown jungle and now talking to a porn actress. It wasn't exactly your usual day in the week.

Our bags were now filled with full bottles. I reckoned these will last us for at least the day. We took about thirty, maybe forty minutes to trek here from where we started at the beach.

We started to head back, this time in silence. We tried to make small-talk here and there, but the space for a proper conversation had been ruined. For some reason.

I flinched suddenly. "Did you hear something, Andy?"

Andy paused, wishing for one instant he had his shotgun or something. He reached to his side, almost as if towards a weapon, but slowly thought better of it. "I didn't hear anything, what did you hear?" he said, gently interposing himself between her and the jungle to their right.
Wonder what it was?" he mused.

My look of concern gradually changed into a wide smile.

"I was just pulling your leg, Andy." I tilted my head slightly, peering to his side.

"Something there you want to show me?" I asked, in reference to him reaching for his side moments ago.

he shrugged, "Nothing to concern you." he smiled gently." he finally let himself laugh at her joke. "Careful, you had me worried there a second."

"Shall we continue?" he asked quietly. He didn't want anyone to know he was armed, with the distraught nature of the passengers, someone could hurt themselves or others if they got ahold of it. No one would see it unless he needed to protect someone.

It wasn't like I didn't expect it. It was just that his initial honest exterior threw me a little off-guard. There was more to Andy than just being a regular bloke.

But of course, I knew a thing or two about breaking down ice like this. Especially from the way he held me when I almost lost my footing earlier. I could try the whole damsel-in-distress act again. Or I could...

Andy considered her for another long moment, and then started walking again, "C'mon, we've got work back at the base camp to do." he said.

Sierra Hughes

Nodding in agreement, we walked the rest of the way pretty much in silence. At least I had gotten to know him better somewhat. Perhaps, this might come in handy later. Or maybe, I might just be able to get to know him better at some point of time.

Little did I know, it was to be sooner, rather than later...

Andy and Sierra were most of the way back, walking in silence, when suddenly andy tripped on a piece of driftwood, and fell into sierra, taking her down to the ground with his superior weight. He swore and started to get off her, appologising profusely, even as his face got a very closeup of her breasts.
