Oh, that Nora. She's one of my heroines. I loved her biography, by Brenda Maddox, some years ago. I think that was the basis for the film.

After the birth of their second child, Lucia (c. 1906--a year after Georgio, a year after they met), they decided to practice the only form of birth control they knew--anal sex. I always thought that was just wild. Of course, it doesn't make any sense, but you just don't picture a girl from the west of Ireland in the reign of Edward VII being into ass fucking. But she apparently liked it quite a bit. Imainge that.

Just because Nora Joyce is one of my heroines, doesn't preclude any other Nora from being one as well, most especially you. Oddly enough, all the time you've been here, everytime I saw your nick in a post, I thought of Nora Joyce. It's not a very popular name, these days. I think she was awfully cute, too, in that peculularly Irish kinda way.
