It's always good to keep everyone on their toes. You never know what you might see if you peek over the edge. And what if you did peek and saw two people you don't know engaged in what you would consider "naughty" sex? Would you watch. For how long? Would you consider touching yourself?

Why is it that we find watching people in real life exhilarating but have so much disdain for it on the boards?

On the boards I don't like it if they are gooey all over the place. I don't like it if they are gooey in RL either. But two people having sex, I would watch that! Just as I like to read SRPs, and the stories here. It would depend on the quality though.

A couple (or more people) just having fun, just enjoying sex, I would watch. Would the vibe be "cheap", would I get the impression they are just putting up a show, I wouldn't watch for a long time.

And no, I most probably wouldn't masturbate then and there.

I don't know that I'd watch in real life or on the boards. I'll need something else to do like sip at a cup of coffee, or read a book while I watched. Maybe play some solitaire while I listened to music on my phone. I like to people watch, but not like this. Small acts of affection are different. Holding hands, a stolen kiss, a hug, or a teasing grin are nice to see sometimes. If you're going to be all over eachother or lovey-dovey, you need to take it elsewhere, and that applies to LIT and real life.

For those that said they'd absolutely watch for awhile, how often do you watch other people having sex that makes you so interested in seeing it?

Because it's fucking annoying and it makes others feel uncomfortable. And really at the end of the day nobody cares. It's a cry for attention and marking your territory. Done in the right way it's lovely. I like to see that people are happy and that people find eachother. What I can't be arsed with is reading about it every time I log on.

Watching it in real life is a bit different. I've quietly observed scenes in our local clubs, and while fascinated and turned on, I've not felt the urge to rub it out right there Not my thing..

People watching is great. I love watching people's little habits like the gestures they make when they think no one is really paying attention or their facial expressions when they're not trying to make a particular impression on another person. I just enjoy seeing people be more human. Sometimes I like to imagine how people know eachother, how they met, or even try to imagine some dark, sordid past they might have. It's entertaining for me.

Watching others have sex wouldn't be comfortable for me. I'm not saying that I'd be embarrassed or ashamed or any of that, but I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I imagine I'd be quite sad if I watched any longer than a few seconds. Maybe that's weird? I don't know.

If you peek over the edge and saw two people having sex, isn't the act of watching them already naughty? How much naughtier could it be? I suppose if the kind of sex they're having is not something that you would consider normal, then it could be classified as naughty or kinky, then that's a different story altogether. To each his or her own.

Would I watch? Absolutely. For how long? For as long as I needed or wanted to. Would I consider touching myself? Not right then. I will tuck away the visual and the thoughts for when it is more convenient.

As far as the lovey dovey stuff on the boards, it depends on the level of interaction they have and which threads they post in. I tend to get annoyed if they take over the majority of the threads, but if they don't, I tend to just move on and go on to the next. *shrug*

Actually, a week or two ago, I did have a Lit themed dream. It was very vivid, not extremely sexual as one might expect it to be, but quite odd (as most dreams are). Several Litsters played a key role, many of whom are frequent contributors to this thread (I won't name names). Some of the faces I knew (from the faces thread), others I've only imagined. It's really interesting what the subconscious pulls together.

I've tried to not let Lit become overly pervasive in my life. In the past, it did, and I became overwhelmed. So much so that I needed a bit of a break. Now that I'm back, I'm posting quite a bit again, but when I'm away from the boards, I try to be away fully. The fact that I had the dream, maybe that's my subconscious telling me something? Hmm...

In one of the dreams I was fighting a bunch of zombies with some Litsters. But that one might also have been inspired by a too big dose of "Walking Dead". And by the "Rebuild" RP which at the time was buzzing with new posts.

I've never watched anyone but this one place I lived a few years ago I woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of passionate fucking. I thought for sure it was the young couple right next door to me.
