Do you order to be the one who bestows the woo or receives it?

Wooing is way underrated. ... everyone wants to feel wanted, and when the wooing stops, you start to wonder if you are still wanted as much.

It's a two way street though, definitely. Remind me how much you want me, and I'm going to feel more like reciprocating.

I like to be wooed. I admit it. I think wooing is a two way street though. I also think the wooing should keep going even when you are comfortable with each other. Keep finding ways to show appreciation, desire, etc. More wooing, I say.

Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad - Meatloaf (reminds me of my parents in a good way!)
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd (reminds me of home and I've seen Skynyrd live four times)
99 Luftballoons - Nena (reminds me of my bff every time)
Crocodile Rock - Elton John (my sister and I loved this song for some reason growing up)

I know I am running behind here, but I have to work for a living and cannot be on this thread 24/7. But I was so shocked about this issue, I had to comment.

I don't know how pmann does not know by his ripe age that EVERYTHING his woman friends and lovers wear is PERFECT. There is never anything wrong with how she looks and every hair, make-up, jewelry, clothing, shoe, etc. choice she makes is exquisite. EVERYTHING, always. And she should be met constantly with fawning compliments and expressions of your awe at her beauty and good taste.

Honestly, pmann -- this is fundamental. Grasp it without further delay.

First of all, that work excuse is bullshit. I don't want to hear any of that. I expect more threadly devotion!!!

Secondly, I'm only 31!!! My age is anything but ripe!!! I'm the perfect age. My eyes have the wisdom of an owl. And my body has the youth of a baby owl.

Thirdly, pmann IS smart, brilliant and a quick study!

Fourthly, she's gorgeous as can be. She just wears the world's ugliest pants a few times. And, for the record, she bought them BECAUSE they were ugly. She did it to horrify me! Then she wore them and they were comfy and she threw fashion sense to the wind!

My list of songs sometimes rotates but there are some that always stay.

Rootless Tree by Damien Rice- no other song shows this much emotion. It's raw and beautiful. I prefer the piano version to the guitar version. No better breakup song. Ever.

9 Crimes by Damien Rice- another song by him. In fact, I could really fill my list with his songs if I wanted to. This is the rival to Rootless Tree as best "relationship gone bad" song ever.

Fire and Rain by James Taylor- it's James Taylor. I've loved this song since I was a young kid. It was one of the first songs I learned to play on fingerstyle guitar when I was about 13.

All I Know by Art Garfunkel- I heard this song on the Nip Tuck finale and oh man... What perfection.

La Cienega Just Smiled by Ryan Adams- It is truly such a sad and perfect song. Oh man. What a wonderful piece of music.

I like sad music, pretty much. I feel the emotions of sadness being out better music than happiness. Deep, huh?

I used to have such a huge crush on Amy Lee. She's so pretty. I don't like heavy music, but I really loved them when they first came out. Her voice is gorgeous. So clear and pure.

I completely concur. I am attracted to sad things, as well. I read that this is actually an intrinsic part of my MBTI personality type, too. I thought that was very interesting.

Five songs, huh? Hmm...quite the challenge to only name five.

The Rain Song – Led Zeppelin

Because Led Zeppelin is the best group in the whole entire universe and this song is just pure perfection. Some things just can’t be explained.

Power of Love – Celine Dion

I have always loved Celine Dion. She is my favorite singer of all time. This was the first song I ever heard her sing and I was taken aback that very moment. I had never heard a voice quite like hers before. I fell hard and fast.

Gravity - John Mayer

Such an amazing song from an amazing songwriter. The lyrics are powerful, deep, meaningful, and his live solos on this song are just indescribable.

With One More Look At You/Watch Closely Now – Barbara Streisand

From the movie “A Star Is Born”. One of my favorite performances of a live song ever when she sings this at the end. Barbara was also my mom’s favorite singer, so her significance to me goes without saying.

Evergreen – Barbara Streisand

The ultimate love song. The emotions this song provokes, the meaning of true love, the bond between two souls. It really doesn’t get much more beautiful than this song for me.

Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen "like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays" The imagery and story in this song... *sigh*

Stand By Me - Ben E King I'd always wanted someone to sing this song to me. Someone I could never have imagined into life once did... back in another time.

Amie - Damien Rice "tell it like you still believe that the end of the century brings a change for you and me"

Fire & Rain - James Taylor. This reminds me of a time. I remember hearing this song in a movie as a kid and falling in love with it. I bought a whole TAPE (yes showing my age) just to get to this song and I had to wait for them to order it in. I listened to it non-stop for months and have never tired of it. I couldn't tell you what movie it was, but it gave me this song.

Falling Slowly - Glen Hansard Just perfection.

I LOVE Falling Slowly. Total perfection.

That said, I am so disappointed in myself that I did not include Imagine by John Lennon in my list. That has always been one of my favorites, if not my one favorite, for my entire life. Sheesh!
