Keeping with the question of the day on these personality traits... How accurate do you think your view of yourself is? Do you consider yourself a "self-aware" person? Or do you think the way others see yourself is different than how you see yourself?

1. My view of self: A little bit harsh and demanding of myself. I think this is a girl thing generally. But I think I have an overall accurate, non-delusional view.

2. Self-aware: I think yes, I am matter of fact and I believe self-examination is important

3. Others are usually more kind and forgiving in their evaluation of me than I am of myself.

Technically it's Thursday, as it's past midnight for me and we are all on PST. Pmann Standard Time.

Anyway, I'll ask this selfish question now and then a better one in morning. Consider this a bonus question. But this is to help settle an argument. I've posted a thread in the How To about this, but I could use some second opinions. I know it's in poor taste to use this thread for my own good, but I'm the king of this muthafuckin' thread! So bow down, byotches!!!!

Anyway, for those who don't know, I'm known as the Fashion Fairy. I've got a thread that's like the Make Up Fairy thread, but this one is awesome and has 97% less delusion! Everyone knows I'm super fashionable and I dress like the cat's ass.

I need some Litequitte opinions. What do you think of these pants:

http://d1w0dlwqaslwfs.cloudfront.net/static/media/product/images/238483/v_1128829b283b1a8a6d47175410300055_238483-01-2.jpg

They are the most atrocious things ever, right?

Again, this won't be our topic, but I have a friend who bought them and I need her to know that it's not okay to wear those in public. Or private.

Thank you my wonderful thread dwellers!!!

PMANN! Don't you think one thread is enough?! Fucker.

No. You're still wearing them. Come on people. Gather 'round. This is an intervention.

Rainshine, your pants are hideous. You're too beautiful to wear such hideous clothing.

Hey everybody. How goes?!?

I was listening to something earlier and it made me think of an interesting question. Most of us enjoy the attention and affection of those we love. We liked to be wooed and gooed in some form. It's human nature to want to be appreciated, loved and adored.

I'll ask a two part question:

1. What's the most outrageous/romantic/expressive thing you've ever done for your significant other? It can be something dear and tender or something outrageous.

2. How about the other side of that coin? What's the most romantic/outrageous/appreciative thing someone has ever done for you?

Are they jeans or sweatpants? ;)

They are some hybrid jean/sweatpant massacre. This is worse blight on humanity than a thousand Sarah Jessica Parker/Matthew Broderick sex tapes played back to back.

It's like a pair of jeans from 1983 (the birth year of your Lord Pmann) fucked a pair of lazy ass sweatpants and then shat out the results.

*laughing* One of life's great mysteries.

They do look awfully comfortable...

...but I have to agree with Lord Pmann's assessment. After all, we share the same birth year :p

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Those things are fucking ugly. I mean, there is a point where you can compromise comfort for looks. But that stopped about 1 drawstring ago for those pants.

Okay, not sure I can answer both of these but will try...

1. Most romantic thing I have done would have been soon after my first child was born, I knew a lot of time went to my daughter and not to my husband(now ex) so I set up a picnic in the living room when I knew he would be home soon and had made sure my daughter was down for her nap. It wasn't anything super elaborate, just some snack food and sparkling grape juice, but it also had candles!

2. Most romantic thing done for me?? This is the hard one. I will have to go back to my teenage years and my first love. We were at the county fair (both had animals in 4H) and he went with some friends and played one of the games until he won me this 4ft purple dog!! I had that dog for years!! Got rid of it when I got married because the husband felt intimidated by it!

1. NYC for our anniversary. We stayed in a suite on a top floor in the W Hotel in Times square. Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries on our arrival. We saw some shows on B-Way and drank Cosmos in the bar like we were hanging with Carrie and all her friends.

2. She threw a big blast birthday party for me and invited all of our pals and friends and family. I used to host my own forum (like the PG on lit only not as flirty) and many of my forum friends came. For most of us it was the first time we had met IRL. That was way cool.

I'm holding judgment on them. One cannot make a call on jeans unless a backside view is included. Jeans -- no matter the style -- usually make the buttocks look really good.

These jeans come equipped with an arse flattener. It has a thin piece of board that fits in the arse section that takes every bit of sexiness of the female physique and destroys any hope of these pants being acceptable.

Sorry to interrupt..
But where is chained???
This thread has become very difficult to follow..
No offense.
I just could not keep my mouth shut. :D

I could take your word for it, but I'm a visual kinda guy. I'd have to see said ass in said jeans with alleged ass flattener.

Chained went AWOL. There was the election that never happened and Lord Pmann is ruling the Threaddom.

Assimilate or perish.

Are you the Borg thread?

"Strength is irrelevant. Resistance is futile.
Negotiation is irrelevant. You will be assimilated.
Freedom is irrelevant.
Self-determination is irrelevant.
You must comply.
You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. "

Seven of Nine is my alter ego. Only Star Trek fans will get me..

I choose to fight..;)

I loved Seven of Nine, she was awesome!

1. What do you think are your best personality traits? I have no good personality traits
2. What would others say? She has no good personality traits.
3. What is your worst personality trait? That I have no good personality traits

I concur with others on here. You're quite stellar. :rose:

For the above two Litsters:
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. That also counts for the person in the mirror. Don't let them say anything negative about you, ever. You are your own best advocate and we all reserve the human right to love ourselves, our strengths, our weakness, our best traits, our worst, every little fabric that creates the wondrous tapestry that is the loveable and uniquely you.

It's spelled "tacky".

1. What's the most outrageous/romantic/expressive thing you've ever done for your significant other? It can be something dear and tender or something outrageous.

Valentine's Day, Sweetheart Dance, my senior year in high school. The girl I had been dating for about 6 months and I were going to the dance. We went to a local restaurant, had a very enjoyable time together, great food, lots of laughs. We went back to my house to go take pictures because parents are like that. Suddenly, she was not feeling very well. She darted down the hallway and, despite the lights being off, knew where the toilet in the bathroom was. She vomited her dinner ... and had no idea the lid was closed. When I turned on the light, I will simply say it was a mess and remain quite understated. She immediately ran back to the living room and began to cry. I removed the jacket to my suit, literally rolled up my sleeves and cleaned everything up, only the odor remained. I ushered her back into the house and got her distracted. Back to the living room, I found as many candles as I could, lit them all, turned on some slow dance music and went to fetch her. We danced together for a few songs and her tears turned to those of joy. After that, she felt much better and we enjoyed the rest of the evening at the dance with friends.

2. How about the other side of that coin? What's the most romantic/outrageous/appreciative thing someone has ever done for you?

Early in my college days, I was dating a girl for a number of months. We had engaged in other mutually orgasmic acts but I was still a virgin in the sense I had never experienced intercourse. I had offers before from others, but I politely declined each time. After a lengthy discussion, I agreed to do so with her setting the date. We went out to dinner and went back to her place. When she came into the bedroom, she was wearing a full length, thin layer of black silk, the gown having slits up the sides to her thighs, a deeply plunging neck line with spaghetti straps around the shoulders. She looked simply exquisite and I can see her visage in my mind today. My first time was intimate, romantic and love making. She made that special for me. I have not forgotten her gift since.

Absolutely agreed.

And it is this realization, in and of itself, that will bring you to the most heightened state of self awareness and self actualization. :rose:
