I have a question, if you have grievances with another Litster do you generally hash them out or just ignore it and hope it or the Litster will just go away?

I've tried burying it and I've tried addressing it. As tough as addressing problems can be, it's the right thing to do. It doesn't leave you or the other feeling unheard. I've found that can be one of the worst things to make someone feel and to feel yourself. For me, talking about it is the best way. I've tried the rest. It just leads to frustration. But you knew that already. And you know this stubborn fucker won't go away. *points to self*

I now declare this a wee free zone. Not to be confused with a wifi zone. No need for any hipsters hanging around sucking bandwidth. ;)

I'll admit that depending on the scale of the grievance I'll let it slide. But if need be, I'd talk to them in private and make sure there just isn't a general misunderstanding, easy resolved with a quick chat. Something more, then a large can of "Whoop Ass" is opened until it's resolved.

Wow. This thread wins the "what the heck just happened here?" award for today!

For me, it depends on if I care for them or not. If I don't, then what they say doesn't matter and if they choose to stew in their grievance, I'll just add some eye of newt.

Someone got their knickers twisted and someone else wet their's. Then Miles Long came along and it all got nasty from there.

TL;DR: Wee. Lots of it.

lmao, you are feisty as sh*t today, missy!

That's what happens when everyone starts weeing.

This.

Depends on the nature of the grievance, and the friendship that existed previously.
If we're gonna hash things out, then it will be done privately and away from the boards.
Dirty laundry is for the washing hamper, not social media.

Occasionally I've had issues that were un-hashoutable, (I made that up) and my normal reaction is to run away and hide. Gnash my teeth. Have a pity party in the corner. Etc.

One of these days I might do the public meltdown thing. Just for shits and giggles. :D

I have never submitted a formal grievance. Nor have I petitioned to wee on someone.

Now, I'm wondering if I truly fit in with the group. * ponders *

It's going to take Superman to get this train back on the tracks.

Grievances, complaints, discrepancies....we have them here with people, it's as natural as anything else. But what I find fascinating, and am also guilty of it, is the effort we put into determining those grievances. For someone we like and want to pursue a closer relationship with, we message them, we look at their profile, we go back and search their previous posts in an effort to learn more about them. But for someone we dislike we make that decision with far less effort, often times as a reaction to a couple posts. We don't message them to try and get to know them and any information we get, we tend to skew to the negative.

With there being a fine line between love and hate why is there such a huge gap in the effort made to determine those feelings?

I've only had one person that I had issues with. And it had more to do with that post stalking me and posting shitty things. That's something that they decided to do, so I just put them on ignore. And if people told me about what that person had said in a PM, then I would ask them not to do that. It solved the problem as far as I was concerned because whatever reaction they had to me didn't get a rise out of me, so it eventually went away.

I guess my post before answers this...

I don't believe I've ever messaged someone with a grievance, complaint, discrepancy that I've had with someone. I can't recall (except for that one case) a time when I had one with someone. I wouldn't message anyone for those things whether I loved them or hated them.

Some people just annoy you whether that's in real life or in text form.
Would you make an effort to talk to someone who annoys you?
I would never go out my way to be nasty but I won't go out of
my way to discuss why the person annoys me either.
Sometimes it's the vibe (yeh keep yer mind oot the gutter pervs) they give off
or the mentally challenging things they say. Or just an attitude they exude.
Either way some people do my head in but I wouldn't be running after them
to analyse why!
I don't want to spend my time with them.
