See? Shouldna left it. Pffft.

*hands extra glitter to B3*

It's B3's fault. See? He's holding the glitter.

*straightens halo*

*Ahem* psst... You got a little glitter on your nose.

I think you should put one of your fabulous boobie AVs back up, that'll slow him down.

Thank you, Lovely. I'm sporting a Halloweenie Av though and can't figure out what my titties should dress as.

Okay. Guys, I have to apologize. I let this thread get way too far off tracks. I let the fun go too far and I'm sorry. I tried to call the fun police in, but they weren't enough. Today you get the Fun Nazis to stop you. And no, I don't mean Nazis who are fun.

When Chained asked me to take care of his thread, he sat me down and said this:

Pmann,

You're like a son to me. No, I love you more than my own children. All of them. Combined. And I'm entrusting you with the thread because you're the brightest, sharpest, most sensible man I know. You will need to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to till the topic fields for a good topic. You will need to make me proud, son.

I trust you to keep this thread afloat while I'm out finding myself. If you see people having fun, put a stop to it. Please.

You are the best human I know.

I love you,

ChainedUp

:(

I have failed.

Okay, in the spirit of that last post, let's keep it on topic for Father Chained.

Today's query:

Over the last few days, we have talked about friends and meeting people and what have you. Of the people you met here, do you have those that you would truly trust with your outside life? Maybe you haven't, yet. Or maybe you never will. But to what extent would you trust your friends here?

If it makes you feel any better about your duties, I'm having no fun at all. :(

I have no trouble sharing the cosmetic, unimportant business like how I like cooking and how I love music. That's easy stuff. Less than a handful know things like where I live, what I do, or what my name is and other slightly more defining things. No one knows the extremely personal details. It would take an awful lot of trust and getting to know the person. There's only ever been 2 people like that in the 10 years I've been coming to LIT.

Hard question. I've been burned more than once, so it keeps me from trusting specific kinda of people.

There's a few that i trust with some stuff. No one will ever be completely in though...hubby wouldn't be impressed.

Lit allows me the freedom to be much more open about my sexuality than I am normally. A sexuality I'm not comfortable with in real life. I discuss all kinds of things here I don't discuss with flesh and blood friends and family. Mixing the two would be would require some trust on my part.

There might be one or two, possibly, maybe.

That's a little scary to read.... :(

A few know my name...general details of my life. A very small few...like three...know where I live. I still can't bring myself to connect through Facebook because I'm a scaredy cat....and maybe that's a good thing.
Like Thandi, the adult male in my house wouldn't be impressed.

There are maybe 2 people here that know my real full name. I don't trust that easily and have a lot to keep safe in this life. You just never know who people are in their real lives. There are quite a few who know my family situations, mostly because I need safe(ish) places to vent. Only one knows everything down to names and where we live, and it took forever to trust that much. Like I said a day or two ago, I haven't allowed anyone on my FB or social media sites. I've had offers to do so, from some of the sweetest people I know here, but I just can't afford for that kind of thing to go bad. Hubs would probably be alright with what I post here at this point, but it might freak him out a bit if some of you started showing up on my phone bill or on my FB feed.

For me, there are three or four that I wouldn't be bothered if they knew who I was. I trust them as people and as friends and I don't feel at all like they would do anything wrong.

With that said, I've only ever trusted Rainshine with my full name. Beyond that, I've trusted her with lots of my life. She has my Facebook password. Access to many aspects of my life. I've never once felt remotely threatened by this transparency.

I've also trusted her with more of my personal life than anyone in the history of my life. She knows everything about me. The stuff that only me, god and the devil know.

The beauty is, she loves me as I am and doesn't expect anything else. I would trust her with every aspect of who I am.

I have a bunch of friends from here who are my FB friends. They know me and my family and other friends. I've sent stuff to people so I know where they live and they know where I live. Gracie and I have become pretty good friends with Beachy. So I guess I'd go to a pretty far extent trusting people I've met here.
