Speaking of doubt, what about Lit gives you the most reason to doubt. And what you are doubting doesn't matter. For instance, I sometimes doubt the seriousness of any lit drama that goes on.

Many of the Litiquette-izans have expressed how being at Lit allows them to be more open, free, naughty, slutty, whatever than they are in real life. Today on her road trip to New Orleans Makinmepurr spoke of how fun it would be to meet up with some Lit friends. And of course we all say as we sat safe here on the boards "Sure, it'd be fun" but if you are one of those people where Lit allows you to be "more" would knowing that someone in Lit has met you start to hinder your freedom to be "more"? Or maybe you'd fear not really being that person in RL that you are online. Hmmm...

Depends on which person. I would love to meet any of my Lit girlfriends and honestly have no issue, having them as a real life friend. My husband has a very strict rule about me having male friends so if I met a Lit guy it would have to be on the down low, so that in itself would make it more stressful. My husband would not bat an eye if I said I was going to lunch with Purr, a girl I met online on a "Mommy Board". ;)

I keep some parts of my life private, like all of us I'm sure. I recently shared something in PM that I had no intentions on sharing on here. I will be honest sharing that tid bit is the only thing that has ever given me any pause.... doubt. So for me the doubt creeps in more for what I find myself sharing vs Lit drama... that is just someone trying to get attention, esp all the drinkz business. If you just ignore it, eventually they will get bored and go away.

I think that depends on who you are meeting, what you are meeting them for, and how true to yourself each of you has been when posting on the forum. If you've not been pretending that you're something you are not, and it's clear why you are meeting, then there should be no problem, and no effect on posting behaviour afterwards.

I met with one of my fellow UK Litsters for coffee in 2012. We had a great afternoon together chatting about everything and putting the world to rights. It hasn't changed how either of us posts on here at all so far as I am aware.

I honestly often wonder if I'd be as confident in real life as I am with my online friends. Here on Lit, I'm quite confident about my body, which isn't always the case in real life.

I also wonder what things I've fantasized about with someone virtually that I might not actually do in real life when it came down to it. That's not to say I'm not being truthful about what turns me on or what I like when talking to a lit partner, but if it ever actually came down to it, I do wonder if I'd get stage fright.

I'd wager so. I think that everything folks post on here or talk about in private isn't lurking that far below the surface. Just requires a safe space :)

It's afternoon, and I'm feeling a little bit lazy. Not enough to not do the things I need to but enough to have a case of "I don't want to". So my request dear Litiquette-izans, inspire me. Make feel that adrenaline rush to pushes through. Make me want to do that which I'd rather not. I'm all about carrot, not so much about stick :)

Pffft.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Some scars are vedyvedysexxxxxy.

A rugged knife scar across the cheek, sexy.
A burn mark from a candle flame only starts to get sexy if there's dripping of hot wax involved

If I ever do really have the chance to meet one of my Lit friends, I will totally do it. I think it would be really interesting and fun. But so far it hasn't happened, so it's all conjecture on my part. I can't imagine I' d feel any differently once I did though.

Well I am the same stupid crazy person on lit that I am in everyday real life so I don't think it would make a big difference to me. Only difference would be I could really put a living breathing person to that name and Avatar on the screen.

It's been a hectic morning, only just now being able to wander in. I laugh sometimes when I get so busy that I forget about Lit. Some days Lit is a focus, other days not so much. And I realize that I'm no different than most people, as RL trumps online. But it still surprises me when I totally for get about Lit.

Not to suggest that you all are not the most important thing in my life

Glad you made it in...

My fit bit told me it loved me("love ya") and it said "smooches". I wonder if I should tell my husband it is becoming infatuated? I think it may be time to move it off my bra and to my pants waist band. I think it may need a little time out.

Pick me, pick me!!! :D
