Excessive thread jacking should be banned unless one of them created the thread.

And I'll say it again. Do not quote selfies, it makes it harder to delete them.

As a computer geek, I respectfully disagree.
It actually disappears immediately when you remove the image from your original post, but it appears to still be in the quoted messages because it's in your cache.

You can test this yourself by opening a different browser and see that its gone.

That being said, it is annoying to have many quote the same pic. I mean, what's the point? We've seen it!

Okay, here's where I think I don't know what you mean. I deleted a simple picture from a post, it was quoted, that's fine because it wasn't personal, yet it's still there. I usually use Safari on my iPad, I deleted it, went to my laptop, opened up Chrome, and it's still there after I deleted it. Is it there for you?

I've not trawled the whole thread (bad Litiquette?;)) but my thoughts are as follows - for what they are worth...

1) "The person above you" is a classic...guys post "pass" etc because they want a lady to post after them - its called fishing! Obviously Netlag can cause problems...but please don't quote some one from six posts back!!!

2) Hijacking - some threads turn into personal flirt exchanges...and I agree that is what the PMs are for - get a room FFS..:D

3) The Invisible Man/lady - it can be very intimidating if some one posts on a thread, particularly a "chat" type thread, and then gets ignored by the others having their own convo.,..at least say hi!!

4) stalkiing - I mean the nasty stuff. We all know who the main culprit is...but please guys...no means no!

5) Signature...am I the only one annoyed by signatures that take up half the page???

Right...that's my rant - and before anyone dives in - yes I know I am guilty of some of these crimes...but I do my best!!:D

:rose::rose: Peace and Love :rose::rose:

Yikes, been reading through some of these. I definitely have broken some unwritten rules...I am so bad.
Lots of good points made here. ...btw love your new av pic OxfordDon
Good morning everyone.:)

On the matter of butting in when two people are in the middle of virtual fornication on a thread. The following is just my opinion and may be disregarded as such:

There's an inbox for a reason. It's perfectly fine to jump into any thread at any time. Once you start a thread, the genie is out of the bottle. Some will complain about cock blocking, but they really should already be in the inbox if they've actually got a shot at whatever it is they're shooting for. None of us own Lit or pay for the privileged of visiting. Besides, taking over a thread is rather rude. It's okay on a slow night, (and yes, I do it from time to time.) But if it's busy, find a quiet corner and do your thing.

Best post of the thread ...

Thank you!
I have a 2 page limit. At 2 pages, I am posting what I want and I don't care if it interferes.

I don't even give it two pages. If you wanna cyber someone in open then go to a thread that is appropriate or go to private. 99% of the people here don't want to see your misspelled words, and bad grammar when you're trying to get your fucking rocks off.

I could careless if it interferes either

:D

I got to thinking last night that the unwritten rules probably don't apply to those threads that are people's personal playgrounds. Those seem to run but a different set of unwritten rules, each unique the host.

But, then again, should they apply? Is there an expectation of uniformity or does that ultimately kill threads?

I know it's probably going a little against the grain for most but enough with the extreme close up cockatars, Scrotes and chocolate starfish avatars. Enough already!

I think you are right with the grain. Tough to beat a suggestive AV, such as yours. Full on just distracts....
