When the naked pictures of you sleeping in your own bed start showing up.
That raises creepy up a level, for sure.

Early morning topic: there are people, although mostly guys, that will post stalk a person and immediately post after them no matter the thread or the topic. It can be harmless but when does it get creepy?

Overheard this last night: "So when are you going to make an honest woman out of her" Really??? Can we let the 1950s mentality stay 60yrs behind us ?
What phrases do you see here or overhear that you can't be live still get used?
If you see one listed that you still use, offer up why, there was lots of good insights shared yesterday.
For me it gets creepy once they start acting like an asshat.
I don't get too many post stalkers though. I think I'm the one who does most of the stalking.....hehe.....![]()
I've heard that used...but I think it is used more these days in a jokey way?![]()
This lends itself to a whole other topic:hurtful things being said under the guide of "kidding, joking" as if that removes the offense.

The post stalking thing has bothered me but mostly because I'm trying to avoid the other person thinking that I'm doing it, which I don't ( very British an' all ) so even if I'm bouncing in my seat wanting to reply, I'll wait till someone else does, then jump in.
I have someone who posts on my thread with just a Hiand that's ok 'cos they're doing a bump for me but I just wish they'd post a question rather than just a Hi

I will agree that I fall under this at times as well. I try not to post right away sometimes, but dangit! It is hard not too at times ;/Is two hours too late to respond to an earlier comment?

Nothing wrong with a little self policing![]()
Litiquette question:
It happens all the time. Someone sees a comment that seems like it's directed very pointedly at them. And then he/she may ride the line for a few minutes before deciding either to let it go or to post back or send a PM inquiring as to the poster's intent. What's the proper way to go about that?
Conversely... what's the proper litiquette for responding to random comments, even though they're not directed anywhere near you? Just for shits and giggles, like on the blurt thread's third incarnation.

I quote and comment on what people have said quite a bit. If you are doing that type of stalking, it doesn't matter if you are directly after them or three posts down does it?

Are you stalking me?! Am I stalking you?!I quote and comment on what people have said quite a bit. If you are doing that type of stalking, it doesn't matter if you are directly after them or three posts down does it?

whose stalk are you holding anyway
At least the GP confines it's inmates quite well because the stalking there is sociopathic . I have posted there once or twice but it feels like ringing a doorbell, then running down the street![]()
Oh man, just seeing some of the sigs and stuff is like looking in on feeding time at the zoo..... Do people really think everyone else cares what they think about Obama's new hat or whatever stupidly topical thing has happened to them? Are you stalking me?! Am I stalking you?!![]()

Funny you should bring this up. I noticed a comment recently that I thought was directed at me. Long story short, I asked the person instead of stewing on it and it wasn't.
That's the funny thing about Lit. There are so many forums and users you really have no idea what or who comments are about or if they concern Lit or real life.
