I got to thinking last night that the unwritten rules probably don't apply to those threads that are people's personal playgrounds. Those seem to run but a different set of unwritten rules, each unique the host.
But, then again, should they apply? Is there an expectation of uniformity or does that ultimately kill threads?
I'd say it's up to whatever the OP states in the opening post. I could care less what people do in the threads I start. They're just chaotic idiotic threads for anyone or no one to respond in. They're sort of retaliatory for the "blow smoke up my ass" threads. Free-for-alls are fun to watch. But I do generally read the first post to see the rules and comply for the most part.
Left to right. Top to bottom. Unless you're a Hebrew or maybe Arabic reader.
