Smiley brings up fashion, the outward expression of who we are and of course how cool we are

There are those people who look good no matter what they wear or don't wear, and those that look silly trying to follow the latest trends. Either way, today's hip is tomorrow's old news. And that's what I believe we are all tying to avoid, being tomorrow's old news. Lit is also an extension of that, trying to be  while hoping to maintain who we are. Some like long siloquies, others short, witty posts. Others use humor, some have a sharp bite.

So in all this, the topic is:  , is it worth the effort?

If it's not worth the effort then it's not worth doing ...

:D

Yes. Because of the quality connections it's possible to make here. It can take some effort, but it's definitely worth it in the long run.

Good Sunday morning. Good to see all my American friends surviving the holiday weekend. Surviving or thriving. If you had to choose between those two words for your Lit experience , which would you choose. You can use any definition you choose for the words, just explain your selection.

For me, I say thriving. This thread keeps me actively engaged and I enjoy the friendships I have made.

I'm a ping pong ball. I've gone back & forth between the two within my time here.

Happy Sunday! I agree with Thandi- it ebbs and flows. Today I would say absolutely THRIVING :D Laughing and playing and having a really fun day all around.

When I'm active on here, I'm usually thriving. If I'm absent, then I'm probably just trying to survive.

Ever see a thread and all you can think is WTF? But for me the W stands for "why". 99% of threads I get. I may not participate but I get. Anyone want to help me out on that remaining 1% that I don't get.

I just thought how "Different strokes for different folks" has a whole new meaning here ;)

Some of them make me scratch my head but then I realize how many I get now that I didn't when I was younger- LOL! No judgement zone.

Ha! This is sort of how I feel. I see some that I go...'huh?', and then I go about my day. This is a big place-plenty of room for all of us to find the things we like :)

I just saw an "I'm bored" thread and did the "WHY?"

Sometimes I think users confuse Lit with their personal journal. :D

My normal stomping grounds involve the How To Section. So yeah. I see so many threads where people ask a question. They get answers. When they don't get the one they want, they get all pissy and tell us why we are wrong.

I chalk most threads up to either curiosity or attention. There is, of course, a trollish nature to quite a few, but that still falls under the attention category. I try not to get too deep in trying to figure out the odder ones. A person might not find their way back out of the rabbit hole.

I think in some cases the W actually stands for "wine".

You find all kinds of crazy shit in AmPics. I don't pretend to get half of it. But hey, everyone has their kinks, so I try not to judge to harshly.
