This thread has been successful because it's a safe place to share one's opinions about Lit. To that end, I can see that would include this thread. It was the use of the term "self-righteous" that struck a nerve. I also started the thread as a way for new people to better understand the societal norms of Lit and what would be acceptable with the confines of the place. I'll admit I get a little in edge when I think I see anyone calling people, or in this case, the thread, out specifically.

But banter away on the value of the thread all you want, you are right, that's what this thread is about.

I'm not sure where the idea started that there was negativity brought into this thread, but it wasn't me. I wasn't even talking about this thread when I said some people take this place too seriously. There's a lot of it on this board IMO. All I can say is if that's all it takes to get you riled at me, you need to lighten up.

I try to maintain the integrity of this thread cause I know it's important to you guys.. so other than flirting on it occasionally I try not to run around it being bad too often.
