This is my favorite thread, no joke. I often check it before I check my own. So, thanks Chained. We all appreciate you keeping things interesting.

I can echo that. Litiquette is the first thread that I look at when I visit the site. I would check out my own thread, but it's been dormant for quite a long time now. This is my favorite thread, no joke. I often check it before I check my own.
The respectfulness on this thread is a key point for me. I enjoy the cut-and-thrust of thoughtful and witty discussion, but I get turned off very quickly by impoliteness and flaming. Long may it continue! There's a lot of "fluff" and "fun" at the Playground, but it's nice to see substance too - thoughtful posts by truly thoughtful and intelligent people. I read for quite a while before I ever posted, and I especially appreciate that it has stayed respectful.
Next topic. Apologies for being tardy. Which is a great segue to my topic. Are we as Listers will take a little more from out Lit friends than we do in RL. With RL coming first it seems inherent that we defer to that here. But in RL we wouldn't dream of deferring to the same extent we do here. Why is that?
Ride On Curlin needed just a little more gas. Will he have at the Belmont?
Looking good. That's what we all want our lit partners to be. Even though we all say looks aren't the most important part of relationship. If we're honest with ourselves we'd all prefer an appealing body to go along with that mind that hooked us. If you finally arranged to meet your lit partner and they weren't as good looking in person as you had hoped, would it impact the relationship?
I have a slightly different perspective on this, as I've met many people from Internet groups (although not Lit) in real life, but only as friends. For me, the reality is that everyone looks different in real life, even if I've seen photos of them beforehand. I've never been disappointed because, on all occasions, they've been true to the person that I've known from previous exchanges -- but then I haven't been seeking them as a fashion accessory.Looking good. Heard you missed me.
I was in your neck of the woods Friday night. .. thought of you and Neverending fries baskets.![]()

It was late. Had a little man help with me to get a fridge from the Sears outlet. You should have called!!! I'm sick as a dog, but I'd have come to kiss your face anyway!![]()
It would appear that "out of sight is out of mind" is alive and well.

It's a hunger that can never be met.
Is Lit someplace where you can easily judge how full your plate is? Or do you end up loosening your pants to ease strain of over indulging?
I do tend to bite off more than I can chew here at times. When this happens, I pull back a little (maybe clear out the IM list - sorry) and then take it a little slower for a bit. Then start the cycle all over again.
Real life takes precedence over everything I do here, and sometimes, something's gotta give.

That is so me.
I might need to stop posting as Sam is perfectly explaining where I stand most of the times ! Scary !
