Hmm....I don't start out doubting everything....but....I don't really believe everything either. I know...it has to be one or the other you say. True.... I guess what I mean is that I don't let myself get pulled in by what people say.
For me, I come here so don't have to pretend to be something I'm not and it always baffles me when people pretend online to be something other than their true(by true I mean their hearts not their day to day ) self.
What it's taken me a while to realise is that people often are shit disturbers, hoaxers, story fabricators in real life...
In the end I just hope those I've grown close to are true...because I'd be very sad otherwise.

I think I doubt threads as a whole more than anything. I'm sure there are some real ones in Anonymous Confessions, if you can weed through the ones in fantasyland.

I got burned when I first got here... and learned a whole new world and what a sociopath really is. I had someone tell me the most horrific lies and the bad part is I believed her.... I do have friends here, but I will never believe in this place as a whole.

I am very closed on what I will let people know about me. Sure I will tell them I have kids and how old they are and how old I am even, but that isn't giving them any real information about ME! I have been burned here a few times so if someone tells me they have feelings for me I tend to keep a distance because I know eventually it will stop! I also believe that a lot of things some people put out here is bullshit, pure and simple! This is their fantasy place and so they live the fantasy, hence why I don't believe so easily! I have a limited few I would call friends and would actually consider having a cup of coffee with face to face, all others I don't give a shit if they post or not, lol.

I'll let some basic personal details come out if I need to make a reference but that's all - it's me who's here, not my family or friends. IRL I just refer to Lit as a chatroom, without mentioning it's title because then I'd be in for a long explanation.
The main reason I come here is that it's possible to talk about sex openly without people thinking you have an ulterior motive. IRL people can think you're hitting on them or they just clam up through embarrassment.

While I expect there to be lies and fabrications on a site like this, I'm generally too trusting of people. I don't lie to people I am friends with here, so I tend I expect the same from them. Which makes it that much worse when I find out someone is full of shit.

I do get called out on my naivete from time to time, which helps me put things into perspective.
