Literotica Forum Update: Share Your Feedback, Issues & Requests

I cannot find the former Bio / Interests / Website fields that now appear on my 'About' tab to edit / delete them (more the website, in this case). The fields have completely different things.
You don't see those on the Options tab over there?

Edit ... OK, I can change the Bio and website fields, but not Hobbies, or Pets.

Oh, and also... prior joining and creating my alt account, I could see all the ampic pics.

As in... they are visible to the public.
Yes I just saw this too. Used to have to be a member to see uploaded pics.

Will there be a way to prevent your posts from being shared to other platforms through the share feature?
Why are my ampics pictures viewable by non-members? That’s going to make me leave if it’s not fixed in a week’s time.
Tech, this should be your no. 1 priority.
This is not good. This is really, really bad.

The fields I see (on the Authors side profile page) and what was typed in them do not correspond to what is shown on the forum side. What I have in my 'About' section does not show in the editable fields, accessible through the Lit Control Panel link.

I thought you knew, any non-linked pictures posted to Lit or linked pics posted directly where the link doesn't have to be clicked are visible to anyone who isn't logged in. Also, the links can also be clicked and viewed by anyone. What's needed is software that doesn't allow anyone who isn't signed in to be able to view anything on Lit.

Is there still a way to see members online on the boards in alphabetical order?

That was a very nice feature to see quickly if particular friends were around, but all I see now is a truncated list that is sorted (maybe?) by most recent activity. Clicking on the "And ### more" brings you to a screen (or series of screens) that is not at all digestible.

If you're using Desktop mode on a mobile device, it's not *completely* different that the old format. There are major differences, but they are navigable and somwwhat intuitive.

The Mobile page interface is a mess. Confusing, even for someone relatively tech-savvy, and borderline non-navigable in terms of posting, finding threads, and interaction. Plus, I've been having text box glitches even within posts while typing.

The mobile interface, which is going to be the bulk of user's experience, is a massive step down.

That being said, we have as a community, been hoping for an update to more modern platform. Most of us will adjust. 😊
Ooooh, thanks! I’m going to switch to desktop view! Thanks for the tip!

I had no idea about that. But as you said, what's needed is something that doesn't allow that.
But the sharing of the posts on social media is an absolute sham. Sorry.

I don't want to sound rude and ungrateful towards people who have worked hard in order to improve the forum (whether we agree with the changes or not). But when I come here I do not want to share from twitter shitshow or FB, nor be shared there. When/If I want that, I go there. Which I rarely use it, and even there it's private.

Agreed!!

Manu with respect,

The new updated is unquestionably the most horrific, ridiculous and unintelligent in the history of Literotica and perhaps, one of the worst in the history of any site.

You and the technicians have wasted 24 hours creating an unworkable and over-complicated monster.
This is a significant and long overdue upgrade and improvement. Nearly all other forums I visit have now gone to this Xenforo platform, dumping the long out of date and insecure VBulletin.

I can no longer put detailed information in my Signature as there are character and line limits.
Good. They were too long in many cases.

I can't swear to it either way right now, but I'm reasonably certain there was a 'share' link on VBB posts also. I'd have toi go hunt down a few pages on the WayBack machine to be sure.

That's known.

What's happened now is that pics uploaded (attached) onto lit can be seen with or without clicking. By anyone. Member or not.

It used to be that you had to be a member to see attachments

Well, I do not doubt your word. But this is the first time I see or hear about it. Better late than never, I guess. I think that should've been something worth fixing, perhaps.

Anyway, I said my opinion on the matter. Until it is fixed, I'll use no pics. Not the end of the world. Still, it bothers me that my msg. can be shared on twitter, and without me even knowing about it. Not even twitter does that.

Whenever a site has a major update there are howls of protest, as we see here. The same thing happened at a certain other stories site where I spend most of my time, where they changed everything a few months ago. So reading this thread is a deja vu for me.

The new format looks good to me. It's fairly clear how to do things. This is only my second ever post on this site, and the thing I was grumbling about in my first post - that I had to log in to literotica, then log in again to this forum - seems to have been fixed.

It's literally a thread about sharing feedback, Issues & Request.

Agreed there should be no way to share on other sites/apps.

Share link/button or not, all one has to do is copy a post here and paste it somewhere else, or even just post a link to any thread here.
