QUOTE Everlux :“Wait -- Laurel and I are friends”

You are? Really?

Actually my dear neither Jacqui nor I have read your story. Nor do we have any reason to dislike you. Frankly we know nothing about you.

I personally am not happy you won the contest but it has nothing to do with you. I’ve thought for a long, long time that the contest system here on LITEROTICA is broken and that it should be fixed. LAUREL simply isn’t interested in allowing the sites readers to decide the winners.

Your case is just another flagrant example of her going over the head of the readers and anointing her favorite as the winner.

http://65.media.tumblr.com/7ed4d2bf249ebc72dcada96b7fef6505/tumblr_nf95gpIGZB1rtx758o1_500.jpg
somebody was caught with her pants down?

Your story only received 123 votes during the contest (after LAUREL had removed some 20 that weren’t fives).

Your story only received 18 comments, was “favorited” only 17 times and it was viewed only some 14,000 times during the contest period. There is nothing wrong with these figures but they pale in comparison with the stories that should have won.

In fact some 40 stories (out of 67 in the contest) received more VOTES.

At least 12 received more COMMENTS and 30 were “FAVORITED” more often!

46 had more VIEWS!

And 10 even had higher scores until LAUREL got her broom out!

I also have maintained for a long time that stories as long as your entry should not be accepted into these contests (for reasons that have been discussed many times before).

So no, nothing against you, but I don’t think your story should have won the contest!

FYI Jacqui is hard at work preparing the Official A.I.R. winners. Now if only we could find the effing thread! Not only does the QUEEN fix contests but she also combines and/or disappears threads...

Don't worry scouries all the sour grapes readers and authors and TTT's fan base will make sure the Newbie author gets a taste of what lit has become all about and bomb her down.

But whatever happens, she still won. Something you'v never done.

He talks a good game, doesn't he. The key is "talks"👠👠👠Kant

He does more than talk. He's one of the main reasons for the sweeps in the first place. The first time it was ran he lost over 500 votes off his story and over .5 on the score. :D

Also you might note that all he writes is incest so he is slightly predigest in that direction.

As for his fake contest thread, Laurel did nothing to it. It had a date in the title and that date has passed so it was deleted. Also laurel didn't combine his threads but he hasn't figured that out either.

As for his AIR contests. Those are the fake ones, with the fake association of one. I don't think any thread with that crap in it will be around very long.

Poor scouries, he bitches about so much and has no idea what he's talking about most of the time. :D

I got a cool idea Tex. We can all use this post as a misc, blurt thread or , you know, share jokes and other things. I'm trying to think when the last time I seen a Troll thread hijacked by everyone for reasons other than the thread was intended?

MOST FAVORITED AUTHORS ON LITEROTICA over time...

Here’s an update of the “Favoritest Authors “ list. Starting with 2008. And just look how low the numbers were back then. It only took being “favorited” 269 times to make the list! How times change. We also have the list from last August to compare with the list as of today.

The only big changes over the last 13 months are: 1) The huge lead silky has and how large it has grown. Some 4700 new “favorites” in just over a year. And 2) The big jump made by HeyAll – he rose from 15th to 7th place in just over a year. Great work by those two! Besides those two things not much has changed on the list. In fact not one of last year’s top 25 has been knocked off the list this year. No new blood at all...

But it should be noted that 10 of the authors on the 2008 list are still hanging around! Staying power!!!!

Summer Contest

GOOD NEWS!!!!

So was there any good news that came out of the Summer Contest?. Your first thought would be NO! Same old, same old…An unpopular story jacked up at the last minute by LAUREL into the winners circle.

It’s a story we’ve seen so often before over the years. Remember darkboy’s story that won with under 5000 views? Or oily’s that received four “5” votes at midnight of the last day and miraculously got to the minimum of 25 votes required and won?

But I did discover a silver lining to this dark cloud that has hung over us for so many years. What is it you ask…

ROMANCE is DEAD!!!!!

Yippee!

In the old days the winners circle always included at least one Romance category story and often two. And it wasn’t unheard of to have Romance sweep all three prizes. Mr. Scouries did complain about it at the time. More than once…

But it seems like the QUEEN :rose: has finally listened! None of this year’s romances were swept upward by her broom. Praise the Lord! In fact no Romance Category story has won a prize during the last three contests!

http://67.media.tumblr.com/7fd0639141645111e3cc83c33ee5e2a0/tumblr_nrcn33O1wn1u7bszdo1_400.gif
is romance really dead?

It seems there has been a seismic change here on LITEROTICA. At one time it was near impossible not to get at least a 4.80 on any story you submitted in this category. But looking at the top 30 day lists I’ve discovered that the bloom is off this category. Less stories are now published in the category and they get lower scores. A trend that extended into this contest.

This year there were only 5 Romance stories entered. Four of them received under 100 votes. None of them received a red H! Only 15 comments were made on the five stories combined. And only 24 “favorites” were awarded. And none of the stories hit 10,000 views.

This is not to say that these stories were poorly written. It just means that finally the Romance Category reader has got a little more discerning and is no longer just throwing out 5’s on every story he or she reads. BRAVO!

Now if only we could educate the SciFi and NH readers…

Figures below are votes – score – comments – favorites – views (in 1000s)

Hot Shop by oggbashan 284 - 4.49 - 4 – 8 - 9
Summer on the Tightrope by 4glory6 49 - 4.45 - 0 – 6 - 5
June by KinkNaWink 71 - 4.35 - 2 – 3 - 5
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by Rollinbones 81 - 4.26 - 5 – 3 - 5
Best Laid Plans by MagicaPractica 90 - 4.28 - 4 – 4 - 6

p.s. I'm still waiting to hear back from the palace about the disappeared a.i.r. thread. MANU is supposedly frantically looking for it...

Your numbers are off, and probably were just made up. Four of those stories were hot at the time the contest closed (and still are). Also, the winning story started off in the Romance category.

The only bottom line message I see to this contest is that it's solidifying that you have to enter a novella or a novel to win/place--that length influences higher rating numbers. Just adds fuel to the suggestion that the contest go to two tiers--one for short stories and one for novellas and longer--as the two aren't the same mode and folks have figured out that longer starts off advantaged.

ace…ace… ace…

Let’s hope you don’t start complaining about “newbies” again. Just you, the two stooges and this latest ridiculous ALT are our most recent visitors!

Actually Jacqui didn’t make up the numbers. She took 3 readings during the contest – the first about 12 days ago, one 3 days before the end of the contest and one on the last night of the contest (from the 30 day lists and from the ends of the story for comments, favorites and views). The numbers she reported above for the five romance stories were what were showing the night before the announcement.

It seems you missed the main thrust of her post – “that romance story scores are way lower than they used to be”. Not sure how an intelligent guy like you missed the point, my guess is you did understand it but were just being your argumentative self again.

not so much…

As to your point on the length of contest entries I think we’ve both made this point many, many times before. 8, 9, 10 page stories don’t belong in her themed contests! LAUREL apparently is too busy counting her profits generated from all these 1000+ vote incest stories she pretends to dislike to address any of the myriad problems in her contest system. Interestingly the good people at A.I.R. addressed this very problem over 4 years ago – they limit contest entries to 3 LITEROTICA pages max.

Perusing Jacqui’s numbers tonight I see that you too benefited greatly from the QUEENS broom. One of your stories jumped from 3.92 to 4.43 – an extraordinary jump and one that occurred not at the last minute but a week or so before the close of the contest.

And checking just now I see it jumped a second time – now up to 4.51!! And the other one jumped too – from 4.52 the last day of the contest to 4.70 now!!! Two red H’s??? Judging by the small percentage of your 1000 or so stories that have received a red H the odds of you getting two red H’s in one contest would have been astronomical. Clearly someone we know has been kissing some ROYAL ass lately! Either that or you’re gaming the system some way. Have you been getting tips from darkboy by any chance?

Anyway here’s how Jacqui recorded your scores at the end of the contest. For supposed "HOT" stories the number of comments and "favorites" you received seems strangely low:

Bangkok Summer Seduction -108 - 4.52 – 3 – 8 - 19
Iran in USA - 49 - 4.43 – 0 – 2 - 8

You wasted your time. Any accounting you do on the basis of what shows before the contest end isn't the official number. As I said, four of those five Romance stories were hot at the actual accounting of the contest and four of those five Romance stories are still hot. You're wasting your time (which is fine, it keeps you occupied) to check ratings anytime before the final sweep--and the Web site isn't going to give you those numbers anyway. Sometime in the early hours of the next morning will give you a better (but still not exact) rating.

All of your other remarks on ratings of the stories suffer from the fact that you can't tell actual number ratings from your perspective. But it doesn't matter all that much. You lie about everything anyway.

All all of your ratings are fake, because you cheat them.

Speaking of Low....here is today's incest hub.

https://www.literotica.com/c/taboo-sex-stories

Look at not only how low the scores are, but Silkstockinglover with a mom story that has only 300 votes?

Yet the contest entries all had very high vote totals. I guess to give the illusion all is well.

What I am finding interesting is I think I see who scouries is backing these days. An author with a handful of meh stories spread out over two years suddenly puts out three incest stories in a month and all have numbers Silkstockinglover or TTT couldn't match?

Then a newb with two stories in the last two weeks also getting huge numbers...you know, the guy obsessed with one story line, and one author in particular whom scouries worships?

This story line?

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1351316

and here's the other one, talking about the same damn thing.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1351476

Not to mention this planted thread:rolleyes:

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1351296

I think with all the issues the site has going on with trying to get the phone app working and trying some other upgrades, the back door has been left open and someone is pig piling votes onto their favorite category and a couple of authors who haven't insulted him yet and worship a popular author scouries tries to associate himself with.

Getting really obvious there scouries. More so than usual.

If you really want to watch something interesting, check scouries favorites as you check yours. If he is around the difference between him and guy below him is less than 25. When scouries shows up it goes back to closer to 30 ahead. This has been going on for the last two and a half years. Earlier in that time frame it was exactly fifty favorites for over a half year. i outed it in a couple of threads and it went to the present numbers.

Gaming the system ain't nothing new for him. He hasn't posted a story in nearly four years but he stays at the top of the favorites list. Exactly how does that work? His first alt hasn't posted a story in 5 years and just fell out of the top 50. I guess he finally gave up on flogging that dead horse.

That deserves emphasis.

That deserves emphasis.

I'll give it emphasis by pointing out that when Kitt was driven off by this asshole and the other asshole and stopped posting stories here she was number one on the favs list. She's now just outside top twenty because she hasn't posted anything since she left.

Many Feathers was number one for awhile, but when he took over a year off for health issues, slid down to number #5, again because nothing new is out there.

Going to back to my initial point about two nobody authors suddenly getting numbers the top two authors on the site couldn't match perfectly coincides with Scouries becoming active again after being dormant here for awhile.

There's another author whose name I won't mention because I don't think he has anything to do with this, other than scouries taking a shine to him. That author has rocketed up the favs list and is now in the top 10. Don't get me wrong they have a substantial body of work and are active here, but the climb was unnaturally quick.

In fact Maybe TX Rad remembers that this author once complimented scouries on his thread and gotten 39 favs added to their top list total by the next day.

As always the big question with scouries is why the site has not blown him up after all these years and all this crap. Unless it falls under Levay's quote about the devil. That he's the best thing that ever happened to the church because he keeps them in business.

SCouries is lit's boogyman and resident fall guy for anything strange that occurs so I guess he does benefit lit.

I'll give it emphasis by pointing out that when Kitt was driven off by this asshole and the other asshole and stopped posting stories here she was number one on the favs list. She's now just outside top twenty because she hasn't posted anything since she left.

Right before Selena Kitt, Daniellekitten was the long-time holder of 1st place on the favoritist list through unmonitored nasty forum attacks. And before hounding Kitt off the site, Scouries hounded Daniellekitten off the site through unmonitored nasty forum attacks. She's now at 31. It's sort of logical that anyone who hasn't posted stories to Lit. for years will drop out of the top 10--well, almost anyone. ;)

ace…ace… ace…

Please don’t QUOTE one of the ignored ones on my thread! You’re the only one of the three stooges that I haven’t put on ignore yet and I’d like to keep it that way. It’s too much fun pointing out your feeble arguments…

http://helpfulace.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/ACE-Logo-175x175-v1.jpg
not so much…

And, as usual, you are wrong again. The reason to compile scores during the contest is to be able to highlight the differences between what the readers thought of a story and what LAUREL did to change the results. In this latest case we know that the readers thought one of your stories was worth about 3.90 but her highness jumped it up to 4.51.

And the winner’s story was jacked up from 4.70 to 4.91. Did she help you and the eventual winner because she liked the stories or was there some payback involved? In your case I expect it was the later – perhaps you agreed to join her chorus of lapdoggers in exchange for a red H. Or maybe you slipped her a buck or two. Who knows? But what we do know is that the odds of you writing two stories in one contest that got H’s is very small given that only about 5% of your stories get H’s.

And this is not to criticize your writing. There is nothing wrong with averaging 3.75-4.00 which seems to be your norm. You and I have tended to disagree over the years – you believe in QUANTITY and I prefer QUALITY. Perhaps the strategy used by you and SamuelX is the correct one and maybe the QUEEN is jacking up the scores on your contest entries as a reward for providing so much fodder to the site.

As to your wondering about the “favorites” list: First off I would like to congratulate you for finally appearing on it – you seem to be about in 200th place with around 1700 “favorites”. Which means that you’ve been “favorited” just under 2 times per story published on the site. Not so bad… This means that if you could up your output over the next year to, say 1 story a day, you should be able to generate a further 700+ favorites which would help catapult you up the list. Go for it big guy!!!!

Jim is myyyyyfavorite!!!!!

And ace, the problem with quoting the dumbone is that it makes you look as dumb as he. I would suggest you check the facts before you quote this type of person again. Go up to jacqui’s post and examine the lists for 2015 and 2016 and see if you’re smart enough to find the answer to the question you quoted.

Typically wrong on both accounts, which pretty much illustrates both you and your complexes. You could have actually done something of a count just like anyone else can. In the area of veracity, you suffer from an illness called Rabid Trumpism.

And why should I give a fuck whether or not you put me on ignore? You're worthless and clinically buried in an inferiority complex that tries to make cake out of pablum (your story file).

You've also been on the top 250 list for quite some time. Longer than me I believe. So guess I'm not the 'dumb one' here.

Oh, Scouries! You're just upset because even with your games my master blew by you on the favorites list and now you're just staring at his ass.

Jealousy is an ugly emotion James! Maybe you should try writing a new story. Oh, wait, you write plenty of stories. You call them posts.
