I totally get where you are coming from,

I never bet money, i will bet s drink or a bottle, but as you talked about asshat losers, i wont bet a friend who one is a dumb ass loser, I am all about character when choosing friends.

For me it is mutual comradery over a sport with just enjoy, either way in the end we are both drinking and laughing.

Good luck to the team i cannot say. I kind of hope they beat the bastard jays.

I know there is another user who may or may not lurk in my thread who actually quit talking to me and left my thread because I made a post back in June or something about the Padres.
There are actually a few Padre fans on here. One or two are very cool. This other individual took it personally and quit. Ive seen him on the baseball thread and one or two other threads.
Got all butthurt.
I lost all respect for him.
I dont carry myself like that.
Shake the hand of the winner, but dont be a sore loser. And the winner should shake the hand of the loser. Hopefully it was a good battle.

@LilKitKat - I am rooting for your Dodgers to rout, destroy, demolish the Blue Jays. I want them to feel hurt as what they did to the Mariners. I want Otenani to have 10 home runs and each Dodger pitcher to have a perfect game..

A lot of family that I have in Portland has sent me and my brother messages about how everyone in seattle is rooting for LA...and a lot of Portland are Mariners fans (or Giants or Dodgers)...so if they arent trapped in the hellacious warzone that Trump says it is, they will be chilling and watching the World Series and rooting for the Dodgers if the bombs, looters, tanks, landmines and such havent blown them up on their way to grabbing a pint or a coffee.

All I hear is how much the world hates the Dodgers (outside of LA and Japan).
I somewhat get it...big payroll, have won far too much in the last 10 years...but kind of funny how the Astros cheated and no one gives a F, but the Dodgers spend their own money and now are hated.
Where were these "Dodgers are ruining baseball" assholes when O’Malley sold the team and said the days of family ownership of teams was over? Why didn’t they block that sale? Where were they when McCourt bought the team and mismanaged this franchise? They let the franchise get so bad they had to file for bankruptcy and the MLB had to take control to sell the team. They chose the owners. It could have been another rich billionaire family. But they chose a financial investment group with Magic Johnson as the face. They knew full well this ownership group was going to take the Dodgers to the level they deserved to be at. The profits made these past two years prove that.

They want to now change the rules now and put a salary cap. Guess what. That will ruin baseball and guarantee lower revenue for the entire league. The luxury tax benefits players and teams who are willing to invest the luxury tax. It helps Baseball. I feel like baseball is doing better than ever. Teams with lower payrolls that make the playoffs benefit from playing big market teams. Look at past World Series ratings, more people watch when the Dodgers are playing. The Dodgers are not ruining baseball. We are revolutionizing it.
