I would like just a few moments of your time to speak about RastaPope.

I feel that I am qualified to put forth my opinion because I have been speaking with him on a nearly daily basis for about four months. I consider him a close friend, despite the constraint of physical distance the internet imposes. I have also read the entirety of his post history-- partly because I was initially curious about his modus operandi, but mostly because I enjoy the hell out of him. I have been privileged to speak with him at length outside the context of Literotica, and I have gotten to know him fairly well. I think very highly of him, and consider him to be a person of integrity and firm ethics.

A rumor is circulating that he is Hanns. I am certain that he is not. I consider myself a very adept reader; I use a few modes of interpretive analysis simultaneously (and reflexively) to evaluate every single thing I read. I can assert that RastaPope is not Hanns based on comparative analysis (if you want the logical approach), but my instinct tells me just as strongly that he is not.

And good grief. Why the fuck does it matter who is who? I think that a lot of people really get off on the periodic mini witch-hunts of Lit. We are all adults here-- if a person says something you don't like, you can either ignore it and get over it or fight it out. But this childish urge to pull the mask off of the villian at the end of a Scooby Doo episode is so pointless. Why does it matter so much? Does it make you feel good to make baseless accusations?

IP addresses are logged. Laurel knows definitively who is who. But don't just guess if you're not 100% sure.

slg, it shouldn't be up to him (or you, though i know you're just defending a friend, which is admirable) to prove that he's innocent. Instead, make the innuendo-spewing sneaks "prove" he is. Which they can't.

You're right, Nora, they can't.

It's pathetic and cowardly to fingerpoint, knowing that there is such a small chance that IP addresses would ever be confirmed. People use Laurel's integrity about protecting identity as a shield for throwing their stones. It is a wretched way to twist the things she stands for, in their pursuit of self-aggrandizement.

It's not Rasta's style really.

No, it's not. He may say things that don't sit well with most people, but his writing style is lucid and his arguments are cogent.

There's really no similarity, beyond the fact that both people in question are posters that many Litsters love to hate.

Take that, gaylords!

na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BUTTMAN!

Rasta is about as much Hanns, as I am really Problem Child.
This is a silly accusation. There is no reason for it.

We all know Hanns is yayati anyway.

I don't know and
I don't care.
Scooby Dooby underwear.

Some day you grow out of it. Maybe that would be the best thing for us to do/worry about. Growing out of it.

I saw your boobies.

Me love them very much.

Can I boom-boom them? Can I? Can I?

Re: Re: Let's set some things straight.

Aww, thanks, CV! That's very sweet. I'm not sure about how I feel about letting you boom-boom them, but you're certainly welcome to admire them any time you like.

(Somehow I feel like this is a little out of place on this thread, but I do appreciate you bumping it to the top for me, so I'll overlook the incongruity. :D )

Hey look, it's one of my all-time Lit. favorites, SuperLittleGirl!!

Tell us more about Rastapope, please.

Does he at least have dreadlocks or wear a mitre?

Ah, Marxist.

I'm not sure I'm at liberty to discuss too much about his Popely image. I think the best thing would be to take the Sunday School approach that little kids use to imagine what God looks like. Just as God looks like whatever you imagine him to look like in your mind, so does the RastaPope. He's all that and more.

I imagine that Rasta looks like the kid who couldn't stop eating boogers (his and everyone elses) in the third grade.

He's a very succesful software guru today, but he still has that booger problem.

I didn't know RastaPope was an asshole...

Comes as a complete surprise to me.

REALLY!

:D

Well for cryin' out loud, imagine something different then! That's gross. I was wrong to give you such latitude with the thoughts you're allowed to have. I take it all back. :D
