Let Your Geek Flag Fly!

It would be good for their gross motor skils . . . if the candy is small it might be good for their fne motor skills too!

Ha! That made me giggle. You're right, he could think of it as developing those motor skills.

Well the going rate is nothing here in the UK...well, it is for my house and the little ghost here can be pretty active if we talk about moving...:)

i always wanted to by the house in Amityville. course last i heard it was about to be demolished:(

Okay - different geeky topic, but is anyone reading Milo Ventimiglia's comic book "Rest"???

I picked up issues 0 & 1 yesterday - very intriguing...

Doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read the novel 'Ender's Game' and it is excellent. Outstanding military sci-fi stuff. 'Past Watch - The Redemption of Christopher Columbus' is also very good.

I'm glad others like him. Whenever I'm between books, and don't have a new one to start, I'll pick up one of the 2 you listed, and reread them.

Amityville

When I was in high school, my friend's parent's house looked just like the one in Amityville. I never would sleep over, LOL.

Dune/Linux/ST:TNG/Warcraft/Pirate geek here saying my geek flag flies high. I wear the Geek label proud in NYC.

Dune is the best Sci-Fi novel ever...though I also agree, Enders Game was awesome. The whole series is good.

Here's a geek question......

Who here has seen MC Chris in concert?

*raises hand* -I asked him to join my guild...

I agree with that Dune statement. Frank Herbert was a genius!

Geek question here about WOW. I have never played and was thinking about starting up, and yes I have let me employer know about this. What I want to know is how well will this game run on a laptop. I just got this laptop it has 2.0 dual core and 3 gigs of ram, the graphics card is built in though. Thoughts please.

ive seen him in concert, saw him at warped tour with my best friend, fucking awesome set he put on. got to meet him and have him autograph my dungeon master of ceremonies cd. awesome guy and awesome music, im digging his new cd alot, the beats in it are very techno-ish, especially older crowd and freaks

I've read my copy of dune like 10 times.

As for the WoW question..it will absolutely play on it, and very well I think. I am running it on two machines, a 2 year old laptop and a 4 year old desktop and it plays smooth on both with high settings.

Did I mention I'm a GM on a private server...geek points

And FYI when the new xpac comes out they are going to be amping up the graphics to keep up with the times a bit. Not a ton, but slowly upgrading so as to not offend they long term players who dont want to buy new hardware to continue playing a game they love....

;)

Have you read the HOnor Harrington series by David Webber? GREAT military sci-fi stuff.:cool::cool::cool::cool:

How was everyone's Halloween??? :D

Our Halloween was awesome, although I forgot a few times that I had my spider legs still attached a few times during the day, as I ran my errands before it got dark out. My kids were adorable and we had a blast. How was yours?
