Based on your other comment above this one... its more an obvious thing.
Two people who have comprehension problems. Can I get a third?

I don't need to try again. You're the one claiming to know the intent of an inanimate object.
But I never did that.
Guns are made to kill living things. There's no other intent for the weapon. And don't give me your bullshit about target practice.
Sure you did:
Would me saying GUN MAKERS intent satisfy you? Yes? Ok, I'll go with that.
Would me saying GUN MAKERS intent satisfy you? Yes? Ok, I'll go with that.
Doesn't make it any more correct.
The intent is in the hands of the user....not the tool.
You still sound like a raving lunatic. If that's your stated goal, you've achieved it.
Right, because I have a ton of posts in this thread to back that up. You're kinda dumb.
Automatic rifles intended purpose is to Kill, so I guess it's all good. At least nobody misused a tool.An over-served patron is not misusing the alcohol he was over-served. He is using the alcohol as it is intended by the person who has a responsibility to cut him off before he becomes overserved.
You are truly awful at analogies and drawing parallels.
It's not the quantity, it's the quality.
Automatic rifles intended purpose is to Kill, so I guess it's all good. At least nobody misused a tool.
There's plenty of misused tools in here.
Guns are not purchased "primarily to kill". Any assertion that they are is a emotional plea to the uniformed. Guns are not "designed to kill people". You have no authority to claim that they are.
It's a false equivalence, and holds no water in a rational argument. If that's the point where we are in the discussion, then I'll let you try to make your tired talking points.
Gun manufacturers are not culpable for a product misused by someone down the road, nor should they be.
None of your "solutions" would stop any massacre or any murder... not a single one.
So how come not a single one of my guns has ever served that alleged "intended purpose"? I didn't realize that you could prove the intent of an intimate object. That's something I'd like to see in court!
I am really starting to feel sorry for people who think the way you do and believe what you believe to be true.

Authority? What are you on about, authority?
Guns are designed and made to be instrumentalities of violence and death. Whether killing animals or people, they are designed for killing.
What else would you purchase or own a gun for?
Sure, not everyone's gun has killed somebody, but why do they have them? And why so many guns, and why guns capable of shooting so many rounds, and shoot hollow-tip bullets, and bullets capable of piercing armour and steel?
Are there bears and coyotes carrying, and are these shady creatures wearing kevlar?
For target practice? Why? To improve accuracy, when and if they need to kill a living thing.
Look I get it, you guys looooove your guns, and live in a gun culture. You get your hair up when anyone even suggests gun control, and wave around your 200+ year old parchment (which was penned back in the days of cowboys and Indians, when it took what, a minute to load a round that shot rather inaccurately, and was even suggested by ol' Tommy Jefferson to expire after a period of time, and required re-writing) crying out "2nd Amendment!".
People change. Technology changes. The needs, ideals, and rights of the nation have evolved and changed. Why y'all clinging so desperately to that old antique?
For the sake of discussion, let's move past the ancient 2nd Amendment for a moment, and forget about the cars vs. guns analogy, or why people (say) they own guns.
Do you think there is a problem with gun violence and gun deaths in the US? If so, what do you suggest be done to start to fix this?
Do you not feel that some gun reforms and tightening of regulations will help reduce the shootings and mass shootings that are becoming commonplace in your nation?
I don't think banning guns outright will solve all the problems, nor do I think guns are the sole cause of the escalating violence. But I do think the number of available firearms and the ease with which they can be obtained play a fundamental part in the culture of guns and violence that is plaguing America.
People kill people. Guns kill people. Guns make it very easy for people to kill people. Lots of them, quickly.
I've heard all the rhetoric and slogans that divert attention from the gun problems, so your posts offering these are wasted not only on me, but others as well.
Look at the problem (and it is a problem) and share what you think would be a solution, or at the very least a step towards a solution. That, I'd be very interested in hearing.

We have a mental health problem. We have a poverty problem. Unless we start addressing those things, there will be killings... with whatever tools are available.
You don't understand guns. that's clear. You don't understand their function, or why they're designed. If someone had kevlar on, a hollow point would do very little to them.
Do you understand why that is? Or are you just willing to parrot terms that you hear in the media?
Just one more case of "That shoulder thing that goes up".
The idiots the wrote that 200 year old parchment cleverly penned a few lines in there that tell you exactly what you need to do if you want to get rid of the pesky second amendment. I don't see any of the anti-gun nuts calling for an article 5 convention.
The second amendment was written specifically so that there is absolutely no need to engage in the discussion you're offering unless you want to discard it.
Missing sarcasm font aside I gather that you didn't read anything beyond the first sentence you certainly didn't read for understanding and you clearly have no idea about my point of view.
I'm directly addressing all of those who denigrate that brilliant document because it doesn't let them do the things that it is specifically designed to keep them from doing those things.
Oh I see what you did there. you're right, I only read your post not it's premise.
Gotcha. Apologies.
Folks acquire firearms so they can shoot stuff.
You don't mind shooting. Do you mind being shot?
Or is it that you can dish it out, but you can't take it?
Poor babies.
