May not be the same person, but you can be sure the rhetoric over homeless people on the street (the new bogeyman) will incite violence against them. Fear is being stoked around the country over homeless people on the street (drugs/violence/we don't know who lives in the encampments etc..., etc..., etc....) If this is a single serial killer out for fun, the homeless will always be an easy target and today's political climate makes it easier to muddy investigations

This ^ idiot pretends that the demonization / dehumanization of the homeless population by "certain" individuals hasn’t painted a target on the homeless, (many former service members) and emboldened common predators and those motivated by some political animus, to commit acts of violence against them.



It ‘s actually quite likely that those committing acts of violence against the homeless feel "authorized” to commit those acts, or feel that their crimes won’t be prioritized by law enforcement, due to the demonizing / dehumanizing rhetoric from "certain" individuals.

The reason people fear those who live on sidewalks and homeless encampments is because many of them are addicts, mentally ill, and dangerous. That obviously does not justify violent attacks on homeless people, but the “fear being stoked across the country” is being stoked by the dangerous activities committed by homeless people in urban centers across the country.

The suspect -- identified as Jerrid Joseph Powell, 33 -- was formally arrested on Saturday for the killings of the three unhoused men, who were shot while sleeping alone on a sidewalk or an alley, Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said at an afternoon news conference.
