People ask me why I'm so secretive. Because what Marxist and Chey (and I) have done is pretty easy to do -- marrying specific phrases, writing styles and bits of information to each other and finding links on line. If I were truthful about my life I'd be fairly easy to find. Happily I'm a paranoid fuck, and I've gone out of my way to make sure nothing I type here exits in print anywhere else, not even simliar phrases. If I'm wriitng a script on a particular topic it's a topic I hardly ever discuss here, for fear that I might use an indentical sentence or two. I also create fake bits of information about myself from time to time (ask Hanns or Eating Scarlett) because there are fucktards out there just waiting to play detective and post my personal information on the board. I've sent out fake photos, I've created fake web sites, and if you think that's a paranoid's waste of time I can tell you that every seed I ever planted was harvested by some trolling dope eager to "get" me, which tells me that people are always looking.

I've been having major Patryn Deja Vu over all this. I remember spending months taking sides with Raven and Patryn, assuring the board that "no one cares", even after numerous revelations from Deborah and others. I finally put the last nail in the coffin myself, and had to agree that, yes, people actually DO care. They don't like being played.

So maybe that's what's going on here. So I'm of two minds -- my paranoia about posting personal information, and my realization that people hate being scammed. That's why I've been so ambivalent about Karen. I'm not able to reconcile those two concerns, so I choose to have a thick skin and pretend to "not care". But, clearly, I do, and so do you all.

So, detective away. Just, please, be careful about what you post here. Everyone has a right to feel safe.

Did I bring my sexuality into the discussion, or was it thrown in by KK, for no discernable reason other than to insult me?

This sort of thing happens in some thread almost every day, but all you ever seem to see is my side of the conversation, and you accuse me of constantly injecting my sexuality into discussions. That's nonsense, and easily disproven if you actually read what's posted. Why don't you give it a try?

I never quite figured you were this dense. I stand corrected. Skylar has made one goof after another, changed his story several times, edited one post after the other, etc. If you're too stupid to put all the pieces together, then I really misjudged your intelligence. But you just keep on believing "Karen" is who "she" says she is, sweetie.

Sorry to interject, Karen, but I don't suppose it's occurred to you that quite a few of the people you've bitten here fit the above, as well?

Not everyone here is playing a game of characters, as you assume. Certainly there's a degree of it, but quite a few of us regular GB'ers are mostly ourselves with a little painted veneer, simply to protect our true identity from those who might wish us ill. There's a big difference between that and what you're doing. And those of us who fit that description (note how many in this thread, for example), really don't like being taken for fools, especially when something's so clearly off-kilter.

Might I recommend that you leave behind the "persona" completely, if you're interested in achieving some sort of understanding here on the GB. You must be, to have kept this up for so long.

Perhaps the many problems/accusations/suspicions/etc., that you're subjected to would cease if you came clean and talked to us all "out of character," and let us know where you begin and these characters end. You might find your experience here much improved, your opinions and posts better received (we do love an intelligent poster, but not if we feel they're sneering at us) if you did that and then put your "personas" in the roleplaying forum where they belong.
