$33,040.50 for being the loser. It would be nice if a little more money needed to be paid for bringing a suit that didn’t have enough evidence and mostly just speculation and conjecture. For a candidate for Governor, one would hope they have more money than that left after a campaign.

“Karen” Lake (apologies to sane and decent “Karens”) does have to pay $33,000 to Katie Hobbs defense for expert witnesses.

The fact that a hyper partisan Republican appointed “Judge” gave “Karen” Lake a pass on paying the full $700,000 for what is obviously a meritless case does not mitigate the frivolous nature of the case OR the dangerous precedent it sets for future frivolous challenges to free and fair elections.

At least “Judge” Peter Thompson had the basic sense of professional preservation to rule against “Karen” Lake on the larger matter before the court. If the “Judge” had ruled in “Karen” Lake’s favor, it would have set off a cataclysmic chain reaction crisis of confidence in the legal system.

So, “yay” I guess???

Like Lazaran said, she dodged a bullet on the sanctions, had to pay legal fees for Hobbs, and was denied her remaining claim in court. If you call that a victory, you've got pretty low standards.

Soon she'll be denied her "intentional misconduct" claim on appeal and will only have fools like you still buying her lies and conspiracy theories.

The case wasn't ever going to go anywhere. It had legs but was akin to being one of the labors of Sisyphus in the realm of success. So, no surprises to me on the outcome.

What's GREAT is that while you naysayers grind your gears over it, Lake won because she exposed the corruption and mismanagement in D controlled elections. Whether that will result in positive changes has yet to be seen but the people are aware of it now.
