Oh there was a shit load of abuse back then. Some prolific trolling was just as normal then as now. There was just a whole lot more quality to keep a reasonable balance with all of it. Everything moved so fast back then too. Threads not posted to could drop off the front page within thirty minutes sometimes. Just a different era.

Because -despite some of it's shortcomings-
it allows free speech. Plus one feels younger, vibrant and free again, given that the dating nature of it allows for some sort of escape and fantasy.

There was an end to this thread.

In reality there were two groups that operated on the basic principle I outlined. They somewhat overlapped in time and I suspect that there was at least one overlap of participants.

Both groups were malicious, but with different motives. One group had a definite goal while the other was malicious just for the sake of being malicious.

There are residual posters from both groups still here.

The group with a goal ceased operating when it became obvious that they weren't going to achieve their goal. The other group blew apart one night when one of their inner circle blew the whistle, named names and posted information. information garnered from their behind the scenes activities. Obviously there really isn't any honor among thieves.

Both groups had multiple alts some of which were shared by more than one poster. This allowed them to play 'good guy - bad guy' and appear to be online 24/7.

Those that have multiple alts have virtually always been part of the board. And no doubt there are some that attempt to play the 'good guy - bad guy' game to this day. But I've seen no evidence of long term 'team work' in that regard. Then again, I haven't been looking for any. Management didn't give a shit then and probably still doesn't so why should I?

Bob should have kept the boogeyman Cade to insulate himself from his little fuck-fuck games. When he retired Cade in favor of blaming all of his little fuck-fuck games on me he lost that level of insulation and it left him there and exposed.

Him playing innocent made a lot more sense when he stayed out of it and wasn't so obviously, personally invested in whatever little fuck fuck game was going on.

This is true. One of the things that keeps Lit going is that it's fairly easy to stumble across in one's search for smut. So we still get our share of newcomers. The places I've posted at that died out -- including the offshoots of the GB -- chose to wall themselves off, and in time that killed them.

However, since that time there have been multiple incarnations of "Cade", none of which are alts that I will attest to having spoken to.

You're the only one, besides dishrag, who ever makes the cade=rob argument. I have ever only seen one person say that nipples=cade. So wherever you are getting your info, you should fact check with dishrag. Funny how cade disappeared right before you showed up...
