I prefer imagination with fantasies to be honest. I have never watched a porn movie and found it as satisfying as the crazy thoughts in my head.

There are certainly videos that I stop watching because they drop the "plot" as soon the sex starts, or there isn't any plot. So I kinda understand where you're coming from (giggity) I'm a very picky porn watcher. Which is why I'd like to be there and tell them no, swap which people are supposed to be "teaching" and which are "virgins" based on the amount of tattoos. Or even tell them to give a couple of lines of in plot dialogue through out. But I'm not always in the mood for reading and having fun, so it's got to be a video. And... As powerful as my imagination is. It can't get to the level of reading/watching.

I think there would be a market for the film equivalent of a Literotica story -- something that lasts about half an hour and includes lots of fun buildup and a great sex scene at the end.

I agree 100%. Lots of times it wouldn't take much more than actually having a script and cutting out the weird "foreplay" that lots of porn has. Like 10 minutes of the woman changing her clothes, taking a shower, or otherwise just showing off her naked body before she's just going to show it off again. When there is a plot tou can tell most of the time they're improvising, which is kinda fun in a way but would be way better if they had some lines. I'm sure most of the professionals (which I mean who've been in the industry a while) would love a chance at doing some other forms of acting. I've watched some different Lesbian Porns (I can't remember the name of the companies) that actually take the time to have plot and everything. There is a market for it. All those JOI videos? Where it's just one person basically telling a story that "you" are involved in. Or the amateur couple that does a bunch of different "plots" together, (looking at you Paige Steele) all of which tell me that there is a market for more plot and not always the NOT I/T or STEP Aunt/Sister/Mom/Cousin that seem to take a few seconds to have a pretense of plot.

Like somebody said, a lot of the time they could come here and ask us authors for use of our stories. Or even in the case of the amateur/professional couple they could ask authors here to write scripts specifically for them.

Whatever they can get away with as a flimsy backdrop to the flesh-on-flesh action is fine by them. A hearty nod to that. Many of us would go down that trail, I suspect, and it's why I posted that previous thread. Whether I would be all that keen on my production being given the 'porn' label, I'm not sure - it's so mired in the dire, rubbishy connotations that go with what currently exists.

I enjoy the process of considering which actors/actresses - and possibly directors - might be appropriate to my stuff.

The market has essentially be moving away from the story-based higher production values based porn and I doubt its coming back any time soon. If you want to do anything half-decent then you'd need to scout for appropriate locations, then potentially do multiple set-ups in different places, arrange time for rehersal. On the other hand, you could probably pump out three of four standard no-frills shoots with the same amount of effort. And, while I'm no expert, I suspect you pretty much have to do that, the market is so crowded and margins low enough that, if you have one film and your rival has ten, your rival is always going to get most of the views. And even with 'a bit of effort' the results are always going to be noticably below any sort of commercially produced real tv anyway and that gap is always going to be noticable.

This may just be me, but, when I am in the sweet embrace of a lady, the one thing I don't want her to be doing is 'acting'. Okay, so sometimes it beats 'not even bothering to act', but still. Often I find that the best porn is the ones where you're able to get to know the girl a bit before the action starts, get a sense that she's happy or even excited to be there and get some kind of grasp on her real character. While I'm wary of praising any people in the industry (because you always later find out about stories of abuse), I always used to like the Bed Dover scene where he would go to someone's house (their real house? who knows), set-up his lights, tell some truely awful jokes and get them smiling and there was a sense that they didn't do this every day. On the other hand, I used to hate the casting couch interviews that a lot of American porn used to do around the same time. "Hi, I'm Becky. I'm eighteen. I worked in McDonalds in [Midwest state] before moving to LA. I've been in the industry two weeks and I've done four shoots, but this is the first time I'm doing anal..." Those were utterly depressing.

I totally get what you mean. I only recently got back into it. I need very specific stuff which is hard to fine, and I have to believe it's real and not scripted. It's so hard to find stuff that turns me on, and I often find myself spacing out and just end up using my imagination. Sometimes I can finish to scripted stuff if the girl has a hot face body. But I've had instances where I browsed for hours, and wasn't able to find the right video. I've been really tempted to start making my own, but the truth is, some scenarios are damn near impossible to achieve in real life.

Yes, sadly most of my friends that I've talked to over the years about this are on the opposite side as me, they have basically said they just want to get to the fucking. I need the plot, even a little. That's why I'm kinda hopeful for couples/"producers" making porn out of their house. I don't need elaborate sets, beautiful houses, and exotic locations. Do just enough props or whatever and I'm in. I guess people could be doing that now, just behind paywalls of OnlyFa... or whatever and I can't see it. Maybe all our dream porn exists, it's just behind you can't get it for free on the PH website, or ones like that.
