why is it that i put in a buttload of applications, call back the managers and they seem very uninterested and keep stringing along, i'm a hard worker, but no one seems to care. I really need the money for college and my mom is constantly nagging, maybe i will just stay in my room today no point in leaving.

Good idea, and if you get bored there is always *finger* execises you can do.

;)

Please send an application to my Rants 101 class, a few spaces still left.

phone sex should be free, it should be one of your rights as an "American".

no job no experience, no experience no job.... fawk I hate that cycle. If anyone out there can figure out how to break it please let me know.

InnocentAngel, best of luck job hunting.

Hang in there.

You will get the job you are supposed to get. I really believe that. If you do not look for it you will not find it.

Karma.

Teach is right, hang in there and it will happen. :)

Hang tough, Innocent Angel. I know the job market is rough out there, but you'll get something if you keep at it....

I'm starting a new job on Monday - not precisely what I want to do, but a bit more money than I've been making - and it's in my old field. It'll lead to something better...and more monetarily satisfying....

I wish the same for you, hon....

Keep The Faith..

The right employment will come, like others have already said. Make sure it feels like the right job, like you'd have a good time at work. Someone said, "If you do what you like to do, you'll never work a day in your life."
Testimonial; I was laid off, getting prepped to move elsewhere (another state), when a friend called me. He asked if I was still out of work and would I like to come work with him. I jumped at it and am doing what I like to do. Keep in touch with friends that have jobs and have them keep their eyes open. You might write down everything you'd like to do, then try to match the list with a job. You didn't say what you do, but try something outside the box, just for the stimulation.

*If all else fails, grab a porno movie, a water pik, and get that stress out! :D

I got fired two weeks ago from the crappy job I briefly held there.
The Job market sucks ass now days. Also, a day before I was fired I heard the boss refer to a woman as "just a body" when talking to a supervisor. So I can't help but shake that feeling that one of the reasons for being canned was reverse discrimination as nearly all of the employees there were women and many of them were beautiful (several tall, thin, blond lookers as well).

I know what you mean, pretty soon I'll have to start living off of food stamps or something if I don't find something soon...

Pick the ONE place you want to work for. Learn EVRYTHING you can about it. Show up DAILY, or every-other day.

PROVE you are a hard worker and a valuable asset.

(I've had the awful job of hiring and firing before...)

Don't get you Sin, you attack me on one thread and try to help me out on another all at the same time (unless that was meant exclusively towards InnocentAngel81)?

I do not attack people.

I may attack points of view, but mostly I just speak strongly with deep personal conviction about the topics that interest me. Hell, half the time, I don't look at the name of the poster, just the words.

I have gone out and supported people and thier points of view, sometimes even when they contradict mine.

Please do not take anything I do personally.

When I attack, and I have, I give full and due warning...
