His stories make me not want to have sex, in fact, they make me want to stop other people from having sex.

My mom's dog was 16 years old, no teeth, blind, deaf, and just plain stinky. It was past time for this dog to go down. Call me insensitive or whatever, but it should have been done a while ago.

Of course, putting down my little shih tzu (who was way cuter than your dog and my dog put together) was the hardest thing I have ever done. She was 11 and went through kidney failure. It was sad. I still miss her and it has been 3 years.

Well, here's my totally unsolicited opinion on the matter. I finally got around to reading Steve's thread on Anon, and he pretty much gets the response he deserves. He's probably an alt too...I mean that is my guess. My real point is this, its really easy to tear somebody down. If you offer CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, (anything other than "You really suck, dude") and you get the response that Steve has given...well then I guess he's fair game. Anybody who knows me, knows that I have offered to help other writers numerous times...even old whatshisface. So, I wince when I see someone being ripped apart. I think its too easy to say something negative, which is why I have made some of my comments.

So, I found steve's thread, read through it, saw that he attacked Debbie, and thought...well, this guy is either an alt or he's seriously stupid. I don't think it matters. Somehow or other, his "story" was published on Lit, which means there is hope for the rest of creation. I hope that Steve, once his feathers get unruffled will realise two things (1) the General Board is NOT the place to whine about your feedback and (2) take the advice give with a grain of salt, but take it seriously too. Stories, unfortunately, do have to be readable. Treat the whole thing as a learning experience and move on.

Hell, he has NINETEEN stories posted on Lit. He's impressively prolific, although I suppose that throwing away frills like proper spelling, punctuation and grammar speeds up the writing process somewhat.

There are plenty of bad writers out there, but it is Steve's bold defense of his badness that makes him truly special. He is the Ed Wood of Lit.

I find it an apt commentary on Steevereno's work that discussion of it inspires people to talk about putting their dogs to sleep.

Putting a dog to sleep and Steve's work have a couple things in common. Neither make me want to have sex and both are really painful.

<------My pretty little Shih tzu.
