I had to put that building on the market today because the insurance company won't insure it anymore needing the work it does. Please pray for me that it sells before the insurance ends next month. It will be a load off my shoulders and a big stress gone if I can at least get my investment back. Please God, hear my prayer!

Hugs for everyone, especially Ljmo & wife and Bob and wife.

Toni & Daniel, you are always in my heart.

Bob & Ljmo,

On Friday I got an offer on the building but it was too low. I counter offered so we will see where it goes from there. The real estate agent says that this buyer is that way. He loves to negotiate.

I had some wonderful time with my grandson this weekend. My office was closed on Friday but I had to work 1/2 day. From there, I went to see my grandson and his Mom. I took him to the park and took him shopping for a birthday present for his Dad (my son). Later, my grandson, his Mom, his other Grandma and I all had dinner together then spent the evening together. It was a dream day for me.

The following day I wished my son a Happy 30th birthday and we made arrangements to get together later. We were going to dinner but nobody was that hungry so we went to see a movie.

We saw Dukes of Hazard. I loved all the action with the car. It is the same body style that my '68 Dodge Charger was only the tailights and one bar in the grill were different. I miss my car. It was the most fun car I ever had. I love that body style. As far as I am concerned, the best muscle car there ever was. (especially with the 440 R/T).

I hope you are all doing well. I feel so energized after seeing family. Last weekend I saw my oldest brother and family and my cousin and her husband. It was a wonderful visit.

I just booked my flight to Denver. I am going Sept. 30th and will be back on Oct. 9th. I can't wait to see my daughter, son in law, and especially my beautiful granddaughter. I miss them so much.

I'm so angry with myself for not seeing this thread before today as JACQLINE is a lady I do admire & care about even though we are half a world away.

I really do need to roam the boards more.

Big hugs for a wonderful lady.

I am so glad that things are going well for you. I just hope that your buyer will accept your offer. By the time that you go to Denver my wife and I will have been there and returned. I am sure that it will just be a routine check-up, but we have to go. Hopefully it will be a relaxing trip since we don't have anything planned. The friends that we usually stay with are going to be out of town so we won't get to visit. We still stay at their house but just won't get to see them. I know your trip will be much more enjoyable than ours, but I still pray for you to have a safe, enjoyable trip.

lmjo How is our wife doing? How about your son in the Army? Have you adjusted to him being gone? I will continue to hold both of you in my prayers also.

I know that your trip is for different reasons, but it will be good to have that routine check up and stay on top of things. I am sorry that you will miss your friends this trip. It just isn't the same.

Good news

We got some good news today. Our daughter-in-law moved to Hawaii a couple of weeks ago in anticpation of the rest of the family following in six months. We were very apprehensive about the whole thing. She and our son have a 20 month old daughter and they were not going to see each other for that time. Also, at the end of the six months we would not get to see any of them for long periods at a time. Tonight we got the good news that things had not worked out for her like she had planned and she is coming back home on Sept. 9, our son's birthday. She had lived in Hawaii for 4 years before and got transferred there at her request. She was staying with friends, but things just weren't the same. I guess it is like the old saying, The grass is greener on the other side of the fence. However, I think that Erma Bombeck had it right also. "The Grass is Greener Over the Septic Tank", and of course you know what happens when things fall through there. At least the family will be back together in two weeks.

Jacqline I know that you are going to be so happy when you get to see the rest of your family also. Take care of yourself and don't bite your nails too far in anticipation of your trip.

ljmo How is your wife doing after her last surgery? My prayers are with both of you. I know how difficult it can be for you. Take good care of yourself so that you can help to take care of her.

good morning!

hope everyone has a good weekend planned!! the surgery went fine, things seem to be getting better, they are going to wait 2 months before they do surgery again!! she is going to get another iron infussion saturday, so that should help even more!!

Bob,
I am so glad things worked out for the family. Trust me, being away from your loved ones is very hard, especially when you are missing out on your grandchild growing up and only get to see them maybe once or twice a year. I don't bite my nails, I just do each day one at a time, and trust all will go well when I am able to go.

Ljmo,

I am so glad that things seem to be looking up for you both! You deserve to have as much good news as you can stand.

I got to spend the day with my oldest cousin last Saturday and we had a wonderful time catching up and getting to know each other better. We spent a wonderful time at the Pike Place Market and walking along the waterfront of Seattle. Yesterday was a day of rest for me.

This weekend I will be seeing different friends and getting some work done around the apt. I am looking forward to the time off because I have been working so many hours.
