I am glad you are taking next weekend off. It is such a special time with family. This Thanksgiving I will be with my brother and family and the day after will be with my grandson, Mom & her fiance, Son & his other Grandma. Tomorrow I will be seeing a friend and I am sure that Sunday will end up being a work day around the apt.

hope your week is going well, mine has been pretty busy as always, the weather has got a little chilly, hunting season is a week old already and NO i have not been able to go!!hoping to get to go a couple times over the long holiday weekend, my youngest son starts his basketball season tonight so that will take a few nights up!! have a great thanksgiving!! hugs!!

Guess what

I have guit asking what next because I will find out. I took off early from work today to see my doctor for a pre-admit consult. When I got home, I found our hot water heater leaking around the bottom. I go to the hospital for pre-admit and then go to see my therapist. I think I need him. I work tomorrow from 12 to 9 and the plumber will come between 12 and 4. At least we can look forward to a very pleasant and happy Thanksgiving. I hope that yours is good as well. Enjoy the turkey but don't eat too much.

It has been a terribly busy week so far and tomorrow will be no different. At least we will get to go home a couple of hours earlier than normal.

I totally agree. I stopped asking what is next because you always seem to get the answer you do not want. Good luck with everything. Just know that you will always be in my prayers and I feel your surgery, etc. will go well.

On Thanksgiving, I will go to my brother's house and will have a great time. We are all going to go for a long walk while it is still light outside then come home and put the finishing touches on dinner. We are cooking light. Yes, we will have turkey, but I am going to be bringing spinach salad (I got a great recipe from my daughter) and the rest of dinner will be light.

The day after, I will be going to my grandson's place for another dinner. His Mom and her fiance will be cooking the dinner and Dana's Mom will be making a special bread pudding dessert. I will be bringing spinach salad again and a veggie tray. My Son was invited so I hope he comes too. I really look forward to all this. Saturday and Sunday will be caching up on things at home.

Surgery

Well, Tuesday morning is the big day for me. I go into the hospital at 6AM and will have surgery between 7 and 8AM. I know that everything will go well because God is with me and I have the love and prayers of all my friends and so many more people. It may be a week or more before I will get a chance to let you know how things go, but I will as soon as possible.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my brother and family and the day after spent it with my grandson and his Mom, other Grandma and Mom's fiance. It was a fabulous day and I am so grateful for them.

I just got my computer up and running again. Early in the morning on Thanksgiving, the computer crashed so I have been trying to get it back up and running.

I know that everything will go well because God is with me and I have the love and prayers of all my friends and so many more people. update

I just wanted to give you an update. My wife had a porta-cath put in last Friday and then had her first chemo yesterday and is doing very good so far. They found that she was anemic and her hematocrit was way down they had to give her some Procrit also. She was at the cancer center for about two hours and was able to drive part way home. Next Tuesday, she will get her second Chemo and it will be a cocktail with several things and will have to take five to seven hours and won't be able to drive.

I went in today and my catheter removed and things are going very well. I don't have very much pain at all. The next doctor's visit is in two weeks and I will go back to work in three weeks.

My coworkers surprised me yesterday a day early for my birthday to celebrate since today will only be a skeleton crew. I am not going to do anything after work since it has been a hectic week. I have worked a lot of overtime this week.

I just found out that my ex daughter in law got remarried on my Birthday (Last Friday). I am so happy for them. She picked a great guy and he is good for my grandson. I will spend an evening with them before too long.

Well, I went back to work today. Fortunately, is was a little on the slow side. I started feeling a little tired about 6:30PM and my feet and legs got kind of sore. Now I get to work every day through Monday. I shifted my schedule so that I could be off when my wife goes in for her chemo cocktail. She has to be there for 5-8 hours for all of it, so I took off so that I could keep her company.

We had a very good Christmas. It was rather quiet and small this year. We scaled back on everything. We had the dinner at our house and everything went well. I fixed the deep pit beef and the ham and our daughter fixed most of the rest of the dinner. We had the three of us, our other daughter and her husband and two girls and our son, his wife and daughter. We also had our daughter-in-law's father over. He would have been all alone, since her mother died last Thursday evening. Even with that, everything was very nice.

I know that your Christmas was also quiet and small, but you are stretching yours out longer with all of your family. How is all of it going? I am just hoping, and I am sure it will be, that yours will be as good as ours.

I am doing fine but have been without a computer for awhile. My other one crashed on Thanksgiving then totally got destroyed Christmas day. (Why the Holidays?)

Last night I picked up a new computer that I had built for me. I am getting a good warranty on it and the people who built it are great! I am sad that I had to spend the money. I forgot my yahoo password so I don't know if I will be back there. Right now I am going to have to be downloading all my files and software.
