Yippee! My daughter, son in law, and of course my now 11 month old granddaughter will be here Saturday to visit. I won't get to spend but a few hours with them before they head down to Oregon, but at least I will get to see them for a bit.

I won't be able to fly there for Christmas either, because they will be working through the holidays.

The foot is about the same.

That is true, I just can't stand too long at the moment. It doesn't mean I couldn't cuddle and get warm. Right now I am chilled to the bone because I am too cheap to turn the heat up. I get under the blankets when I can.

Even though I may only get a few hours with them, I will enjoy every minute! I wish I could say my foot is getting better. It is staying about the same. Next week I had better go to a specialist.

He has a field trip to go to lunch and see the new Tom Hanks movie The Polar Express Monday and then they go to school Tuesday and then off for the rest of the week. Ya'll have a great Thanksgiving holiday and have a great weekend this week.

I want to see the Tom Hanks movie, too! I have seen him talk about how it was made and the story many times. I think it is going to be an instant Christmas classic! Sounds like Daniel is going to have a good week and I trust that you will too.

The Polar Express isn't all it's cracked up to be, despite the special effects, and certainly it's not classic. My 8 and 10-year-olds didn't much like it, and the look and feel of the movie is a bit creepy. It's not terribly faithful to the book. Why must everything be action and adventure?

I am so sorry that I missed this post!!!! Sweetheart, I will make the most of every single minute because I don't know when I will see her next. With this new job, I don't know when I will be able to take some time off to go visit them but I am so grateful to have the job.

I am blessed that my Dr. got some flu vaccine's from Canada so I am now covered.

I had the most wonderful time with my grandchildren! (and of course my children, too).

We first played until the baby woke up from her nap then went to a wonderful restaurant in Freemont for breakfast. We did a lot of catching up before going to the zoo.

I am so blessed that I found a pair of shoes that I could wear that were comfortable that I could fit that foot into! I figure I would rather walk with them and have a swollen foot than not go anywhere and have a swollen foot. The seattle zoo really is a good one and my six year old grandson had a great time. It was a bit nippy but a beautiful sunny day. I got some great pictures of the two children together.

I am hoping to get to see them for a few hours before they go home but they don't know their plans yet. My brother and sister in law and girls would really love to see them. Hopefully God will find a way to work that out for us!

I am so glad to hear that you had a good visit. Our granddaughters live here in town and we still enjoy each time that they get to come over, so I can imagine how much fun you had. I am still praying for the recovery of your foot. Take care of youself and your foot.

My wife and I also had a good weekend. On Saturday, we drove up into the mountains just to get away and have lunch. It also gave us a chance to get above the clouds and enjoy the sun.

The Dr. said that it could take a month before the swelling goes down all the way but at least she doesn't think I need to go to a specialist.

It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I am so happy for you.

I also had a great Thanksgiving. As is tradition now, most of my family went to my cousin's for Thanksgiving dinner. In addition to being with her family, my brother's family, we learned that my cousin is going to be a grandmother for the first time. Then we drove 2 hours back to our hometown to join our other daughter and her in-laws for more pumpkin pie. I am now at the end of the first four-day Thanksgiving week-end that I have had in over 30 years. It let us start getting ready for Christmas. It has been great. Take care. Hugs and kisses for all.
