Israeli Jews now even have a higher birthrate than Palestinian Arabs or Egyptians.
Some of it due to high Orthodox birthrates, but even "secular" Jews in Israel have a birthrate of well over the replacement rate. Europe on the other hand averages closer to half the rate needed even for replacement, and the US is about at replacement (but rates vary between US ethnic groups).
On the other hand, religious Jews in the US average about replacement while the "secular" Jewish population is far below replacement level and one of the lowest of any identifiable demographic in the US.
How or what explains the demographic anomaly of the Israeli Jewish birth rate, and what lessons could it teach other developed countries or sub-national groups facing demographic decline?
