Is Fox Network News Fair and Balanced

I wonder what Laurie Dhue would look like in a Girl Scout uniform.

I'd like to see Colmes replaced with James Carville. Now That might be Fair & Balanced!

E.D. Hill
Lauren Green
Juliet Huddy
and of course
Laurie Dhue
Now these are all good reasons to call it it Fox News!
Don't forget Kiran Chetry and Page Hopkins.

Fox News would actually be fair and balanced - one of him and all of them - I meant that about Carville.

The mainstream news leans to the left so I have no problem if one channel chooses to not follow suit.

WELL SAID! Least you get something to balance all the left.

I can't think of one mainstream television news station that is so vociferously left as Fox News is right - unless you count Pacifica Radio.

Hey, Dan Rather is CBS. :)

Are we ever going to get concrete examples of FOX News being so outrageously right-wing? I mean, if it's self-evident, people who bash ought to easily come up with several examples just from recently.

Oh, and no mentioning any of the prime-time people; they're all commentators/analysts and clearly state themselves as such.

Perhaps it's just me, but CNN comes immediately to my mind.

From my point of view CNN is hearbreakingly very middle of the road - bland and without a point of view even. I think that may be correct - their viewership has dwindled while Fox's has increased precisely because CNN has become so bland.

I figure the more often someone tries to tell me they are fair and balanced, the less likely it is to be true.

So far the two news sources I've encountered that have tried to hardest to claim they are fair and balanced are Fox News and Al Jazeera... Although it's hard to tell with Al Jazeera these days cause they've been fucking hacked non stop since Tuesday, lol.

Draw your conclusions from that.

We get fox over here, it being the sister channel of Sky News, I have to say it make's a change from watching the BBC which seems to be sometimes a bit to liberal. Sometimes were kicking arse goes down quite well now and then.;)

While you write a great critique, I must ask whether any news network is fair and balanced? If you read most academics there is a definite leftist slant on the networks, and so in the name of free speech, and the political leaninngs of UBERmensch Rupert Murdoch, the Fox News Network provides a unique and necessary counterpoint.

Strangely enough, most academics seem to have a definite rightist slant. Finding a comfortable medium between the two is nearly impossible.

This is the first time I have ever heard that academics are right wing as a general rule - the fulcrum must have been moved to the left since the last time I looked.

Then everybody on Fox News is a commentator - a reasonable reporter asks questions and goes with the answers, Fox News people lead their interviewee's sometime even argue with them.

And that is the reason I watch CNN

Fox has a habit of breaking news with out all the facts
