The rule of thumb I have always heard was that if you are old enough to remember the last time chokers were in style your too old to wear one. I'm still 39, but not for too much longer. I don't remember the last time they were in style, but since I am a nerd, I can't say I've kept up to date on fashion trends throughout my lifetime.
Summer vacation is a few days and a mountain of exams away. Since I am dressing better now I think a choker would go well with my longer hair and nice blouses, but am I too old, will I look stupid, will people point and laugh? JK. Sir gave me a beautiful pearl choker with a white gold pendant with the logo I made with his initials and a personal inscription on the back, which is great for wearing with a black dress, but not everyday.
Recently I've become more enamored of jewelry. I put some rings on my thumbs and Sir told me that can have several meanings, but he likes them so I guess people will just have to wonder about me
. I have also been experimenting with anklets. Sir likes just one, I like two.
Any advice from the jewelry mavens? I don't want to make too big of a fashion faux pas. Some guidance on chokers, thumb rings and ankle bracelets would be appreciated.
