I'd rather see the jammies than the intentionally ripped fishnets and multi-colored chav hoodies.

So not funny, both are par for the course where I grew up. A touch of "class" included hooker boots and loop ear rings :shudder:

We wore similar stuff growing up, before it was cool. We "freaks" paved the way and now are somewhat ashamed.

That type of cultural divergence I can take in moderation, but have you ever heard the term "slapper" ?

noooooo!!! j/k of course you're welcome here <3

I am quite proud of my irish lineage, and am fascinated by all things irish.

Several of my family members have been there. I hope to one day get there.

I encourage you to visit! I just wish there was more to do besides a week of touristy things and pubs.

I know, some of my family did that tourist-y thing. My father also went to Scotland as well (I am also Scottish) and stayed with friends and got a much more intimate tour there by hanging with locals.

I wish I had friends/family here. I kind of just moved here on a whim and it was super hard to start over.

while doing a family tree i discovered that my wife had Irish roots, not the English roots her mother told her about, my lovely bride was thrilled thatr she was Irish and not just Irish by injection, that tells you how special it is to be Irish !!! My family hails from County Cork, her roots are in northern Ireland...

I hear great things about Cork. Sadly I'm stuck in Dublin.
