Does anybody know what s guy can do to increase the volume of his ejaculate? (besides not having sex?) I know there are drugs that can reduce the volume, but know of none to increase.
 
Zinc and hydration. Most men are zinc-deficient, so you probably need a supplement anyway. Do some research to see what's a safe amount for you, based on your diet and everything (obviously, if you have a zinc-rich diet, you don't need as much).

Drinking plenty of water and avoiding too much sugar, caffeine and alcohol will also help.

I had read something about eating a lot of celery one time. I tried it and produced enough semen to shampoo a water buffalo.:D

Not really...I saw no difference.
 
I'd like to see a reference for this zinc thing... I can't seem to find it on any medical website.

There are few things that definitely work for me.

1) Within a couple hours before I have sex, I masturbate for a while - but I don't let myself have an orgasm. When your balls feel heavy and you feel like you could cum, stop... Later on when you cum, there's a LOT more. Works every time for me!

2) Prolonged sex makes me cum more, especially if my penis is stimulted for a long time. 15 minutes of stimulation doesn't make me cum nearly as much as an hour and 15 minutes of stimulation.

I once had a gf who loved giving oral sex. She would go down on me for like 30 minutes. I have always had a hard time having an orgasm from oral, even though it feels great, so she'd be sucking me forever. Zinc also helps with the libido, but you must be careful not to take too much. Only take the recommended daily amount and for more effective adsorption a zinc chelate or specific zinc supplement is better.

Zinc is also good for the immune system and wound healing. Semen contains 100 times more zinc than found in other parts of the body, so more sexually active men need to keep up their intake.

As mentioned, lots of water (which is a general health tip anyway). Avoid diuretics (or an excess) such as caffeine and alchohol.

In general a good healthy balanced diet is a sound basis for heathy voluminous ejaculate.

Frequent physical stimulation of your genitals without ejaculation is probably the fastest way to increase volume. Solo or partner play to get you aroused for extended periods causes the bulbourethreal and prostate glans as well as the seminal vesicles to create more fluid, resulting in a bigger load at climax and bigger subsequent loads.
 
My centrum men's multivitamin contains 200% of the RDA of zinc.... I bet not all of it gets absorbed though...

Contraindications can arise with amounts of 2gm or more being taken at once, so I'd say you're still safe with your centrum brand. As you say, it's probably not all being taken in anyway.

I use a specific zinc supplement mainly due bodybuilding which means my body needs more of everything as it's under a lot more stress. I actually killed my libido once by training so hard that all the levels of stuff that were needed for sexual activities were hijacked by the rest of my body for repair. Nutrition and supplementation can be a delicate thing sometimes.

Sex drive was completely smashed :(

So I backed off the exercise and upped zinc, glutamine, arganine, vit c and copper levels till I regained normal function.
 
I take this stuff called Horny Goat Weed. It sounds goofy but it is completely natural and does work with no side effects.

But then it only takes me maybe 10-15 minutes and I can go again. That has been the main thing I noticed. Wife and I used to go to some swingers clubs years ago and that stuff was great. I could fuck 4 or 5 times a night and cum each time. Though my balls were achy later LOL

Yes, a lot of the evidence is anecdotal, but like WH said, zinc is also important for the immune system and overall health, so it doesn't hurt to supplement with a reasonable amount, especially if you're ejaculating regularly or doing other things that could lead to a depletion.

There are lots of herbs and supplements that supposedly have positive effects on semen volume, libido and sexual performance. I think a lot of them are BS, but I do know that an awful lot of people have found things like zinc and L-arginine do have some merit.

Are some guys getting this idea that more semen is better from porn, or what? Some seem obsessed with producing more ejaculate, and I just don't get it. I do get wanting my husband to be well-hydrated and nourished so he has quality semen and sperm, but him producing a normal amount and texture for him is where my interest stops. What's with the obsession?

I've wondered about this as well, and I've always assumed it was because of porn. Doesn't seem to be a huge concern in our household.

Speaking for myself Erica, it's not an "obsession". I find there is a physiological difference in the quality and duration of climax if I have more to deliver so to speak.

Frankly, it feels better to feel a greater volume of fluid spurting up through the tubes than not. There's also the psychological aspect of really filling your partner up with a lot of semen, wherever she takes it. Lots of cum is a turn on in more ways than one for a guy.

It feels *extremely* good to ejaculate - every spurt. The more spurts you have, the longer/better it feels. The sensation of semen starting in my prostate pulsing down and out my climaxing penis is incredible. The more the better.

And then yeah, there's the psychological feeling of filling your partner with copious amounts of cum.... ;)

Porn might be feeding this particular thing, but male obsession with virility, of which seed production is one factor, has been around forever.
