In states where abortion will be illegal

I have no problem with American democracy.

I'm glad you support the overturning of Roe.

I just don't believe your insane unproven ranting.

Nothing insane or unproven about anything I've said.
Apparently, without evidence of proof, sewersidechad thinks he has a problem.

Nope.... I think the left has a problem, because I've looked at the MSM in the last 5 days and they're pissed Roe isn't what they thought it was.

I do, but only because it was bad law. What I don't support is the restrictions being imposed by some states' legislatures.

That's the only reason it was struck down.

I don't support them either, but I DO support their right to have them.

I view states rights and American democracy no different than free speech in that respect.

I don't agree with everything everyone says, but I do support their right to say it.... no matter how nasty or distasteful I personally find it.

Excellent point. SCOTUS has spoken. The decisions have been returned to state legislatures. It would be much more constructive to shift the conversations to specific states as well. What’s been happening in California over the past few days is very different than whats happening in Utah. What’s been happening in Utah is very different than what just happened in Texas yesterday. The 26 states that Guttmacher expects to impose bans or near bans (where 20% of American women of child bearing age live) each have different laws.

If the Brits felt right about chemically castrating Alan Turing for being homosexual(?) surely removing the offending appendages from rapists should be one cure we can offer them, perhaps certain fingers as well to quickly indicate their wrongs to the public. Strangely this has not been done in Western culture ? Or anywhere ? If it was, why did they stop?

Parenthood rights ? Well, the right to devote their salaries to their kids? Yes. Anything else?? Fuck no!

Most Brits even at the time were very upset at the treatment of Alan Turing.

In the later middle ages, facial branding of rapists (and persistent thieves) was practised but rarely and only for persistent offenders.

So, one rape was forgiven after time served?

Branding is the next tattooing

Remove a joint of a finger? That’s gonna leave a nice reminder and visual clue for the world. I doubt it will take off as a fashion fad

You know something? For years people like you and your flathead situational Korean sidekick have been touting the soo-premacy of states. Now that the Extreme Court has decided "stare decisis" is irrelevant, states once again have the power to make women little more than birthing vessels.

"But if they don't like it...they can move!" you and your kind always said. Teh devil is in teh details though: South Dakota and Texas are researching ways to have their women adhere to their Fascist Christian code of conduct when they visit other states.

Seems a bit of legislative overreach to me.....but I'm sure you can find some way to rationalize this!

You should do your homework before posting. The Supreme Court has overridden its own prior decisions more than 200 times. With regard to Dobbs, abortion policy has been transferred from unelected, appointed judges to elected representatives in the states. You’re obviously not a fan of representative government.

Tennessee gop rep scott dejarlais, a 100% anti-abortion voter, is kind of quiet since Roe.v.Wade. It's all good, though, 'cos god forgave him and republicans love a saved sinner
In 2012, it came out that DesJarlais had urged his pregnant mistress to get an abortion—a stunning revelation that was caught on tape—and that his ex-wife had two abortions herself.

It was one of the wildest political scandals of that era, but somehow, DesJarlais kept getting elected in his deep-red Tennessee district. He has since claimed that God has “forgiven” him for his actions, not just the voters.

Yes, the Supreme Court occasionally overturns precedent. In almost every case, however, it is to grant more freedom to the individual. This Extreme Court has worked hard to destroy Federal laws, creating all powerful state kingdoms where restrictions for non-White non-male populace are coin of the realm.

You're obviously not a fan of personal liberty.

That gets into Interstate Commerce and I'm not sure even this band of Nine clowns would touch that.
*nods* wasn't it kavanaugh that said more or less just that after the ruling?

“Occasionally?” Lol. 234 times. And in the Dobbs and WVA cases, policy powers were returned to elected representatives. That’s what bothers you. You love representative government except when you don’t. Hypocrite.

Says the lying hypocrite who would vote for officials who will vote to ban abortion on a national level. Every. Single. Time.
