There is no evidence to back up claims that women who have been raped are less likely to become pregnant. According to a 1996 study from the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, an estimated 32,101 pregnancies result from rape each year.

I'm still in shock.
It's not just America's problem, it's all of our problem.

Don't know about Brits viwed them 30-40 years ago, but my parents raised me in awe of America.
For me, it used to be The ideal to strive towards
Best universities, the American dream, best movies.
Even what they later did in Yugoslavia was partially excusedd, because America supported Europe against Ottomans, when other Western European States sabotaged them.

And to see the abysmal American reality, Corporations gamingpoor people and women treated like deliquent birthing cows....
I almost feel cheated.

the majority of brits viewed/view america less favourably... too obsessed by money and fame, no national health service catering to everyone, people too entitled, too brash, too rude... but good movies. Of course, though, America had great allure to those brits who weighed 'success and happiness' as purely a matter of financial measure

Don't know about that, but I would say that once their sentence is done, they should be required to pay all child support (retroactively back to the birth of the child). Since those supporting the ban on abortion are all fired up about a woman birthing and being responsible for a child, it seems to me, that the other half of the equation responsible for that birth do their part too. What's good for the goose, is good for the goosee.

Problem with that is they usually get parental rights, custody, visitation, whatever. There would have to be provisions to preclude that.
